A MAJOR REASON why Halo Reach sucks and gets boring.

  1. Graphics in Reach had some awesome quality graphics but too monotone.
  2. Reach had some graphics that were based on the same tone.
  • Colors were too basic. Therefore, making players very bored. Why? For example look at Hemmorrhage. This map is all green, very bright, and no balance or the emphasis on the color has a great impact on the player because this is what the player see’s during the whole 8-12 minutes playing the game.

  • Forge maps were again, too basic. Same color base. Everything was just the same. Maps were built out of the same texture and it really does get boring playing on the same maps . At least if we’re going to play on teh same maps in every playlist, why not give it some color.

I disagree. the halo: Reach experience with regard to graphics means your paying attention to details and not the biggest picture, in my opinion of course. As for forge, it has the biggest sandbox to date of items, find the means to make it entertaining. Experiences are what you make of it, not the other way around.

Forge is cool, but you really need to add an FX or two so it’s not completely drab.

As for graphics goes, I think reach is the best looking game in terms of graphics, the rest of it is lacking though. There are threads for this elsewhere. Major reasons - to me anyway - is the simplicity of the campaign - it’s too straight forward, every mission has gives you a main objective that’s clear as day in what you need to do. Make things a little more vague so the player has to explore a bit. As it is it’s just go here or here first, then come back. Get this activated then come back and holdout. With limited options to overcomming obstacles it gets dull eventually.

Commendations are aweful. They encourage farming and poor tactics to earn credits and commendation points. Gametypes that are not challenging - firefight arcade. It’s just an all out kill fest. The more you kill even if you already have something maxed out, you just grab the rocket launcher, get 150-200 kills in arcade and make a -Yoink- load of credits. Too many nerfs, while I support the weakening of armor lock, I do NOT understand why CAMO is so utterly useless, it should have been the way it was in combat evolved. Paper mache vehicles. Like I said there are other threads for this, I’m going to stop here because I could go on forever repeating other people.
