A lot of us didn't get the Twitch Drop skins in-game despite claiming it. How are you going to fix this, 343i?

It is depressing that there are people out there that get a kick out of the misfortune of others, especially people they don’t know. I can maybe understand the karma in something bad happening to a bad person but short of that it does make me wonder what it says about someone if they want others to experience disappointment.

If you aren’t affected by this issue, that’s good, no-one wants to be affected negatively but if you aren’t then there likely isn’t anything of value that you can add to this thread.

If people were promised something then they do have the right to complain when they do not receive it. If you feel otherwise then I would urge you to reflect on your own life and think about a time when maybe you were in a similar situation or to imagine yourself in a similar situation, being denied something, for no good reason, that had some value to you that you felt you had earned.

Probably because bumping a topic is considered disruptive posting, which is often frowned upon by the community and forum mods/admins.

why? it’s only to bring more light on the issue. There is one forum post with 200 comments about twitch drops and we still have no response.

The only drop that is working correctly for me is the Victory Shout stance.

All the other drops are claimed as well but are not showing up in-game. I even created separate accounts that weekend and tried to claim them all again after getting the “…” to go away and it still didn’t work.

If this happens again during the next HCS event, I would just not worry about these special twitch drops anymore.

People hate having to sift through topics to find something they’re interested in. If it were something people cared about it would stay on the front page without having to be bumped.

Not worried about the bumping, one extra millisecond of a scroll isn’t hurting anyone. I’m guessing you’re one the people who reported it lol

It’s usually when it happens to a lot of threads that it becomes a problem. That’s why a lot of places discourage or out right ban bumping so they prevent it from happening.

Mind you, it doesn’t mean that everyone does it though. Just be weary of doing it too much is all.

Yeah same. Hope they fix this issue soon. It’s so weird because I received the weapon and armor skins but not the victory shout stance. All acquired on the same day and had my account linked before I earned them. I hope they fix this issue when 343i gets off of Holiday break.

I only got the victory shout pose no weapon or armour coatings. All I wanted was the sidekick skin : (

I’ve had this exact same issue like many others. It’s idiotic how this, couldn’t work like it should have.

I have the same issue, I linked my account before everything, I redeemed all the drops, even the got milked emblem, but in Halo there are none of them. I already sent a ticket, lets hope they resolve the issue because the drops are really good, i want the pose mostly

If you didn’t receive the drops, its probably something you did. There were steps you had to follow

  1. Link the correct gamertag
  2. Go into the live streams until you see the progress bar pop up. It will tell you what you are unlocking
  3. Go to the claims section on Twitch and see if the progress bar is there
  4. Wait until the progress bar fills to 100%
  5. Click claim
  6. If it didn’t work, you did something wrong and had time to create a new Twitch account and try again
  7. It’s your own fault if you don’t have it

Dude just shut up if you dont know what the problem was and dont display us as 5 year olds who arent capable of linking an account.
We did nothing wrong, twitch and halo waypoint stated the connection was succesfull and we claimed our Drops. On Halowaypoint it showed “…” instead of our Twitchname but stated that the connection was succesfull and Twitch said that the connection to 343i was linked too. No blame to us

The same thing happened to me, i didn’t get the pistol skin or the spartan stance after i unlocked them on my Twitch account.

Everyone in here knows this and did all those steps. I don’t think you had to link a gamertag because Halo Waypoint should already be linked to the gamertag you use for Halo but even if you did have to link a gamertag my XBL GT has been linked to my Twitch for years on it’s own separate from Waypoint I didn’t get anything but the victory shout pose. I’m sure you just had to link Twitch to 343i on your Halo Waypoint account which didn’t work for a lot of people even though on Twitch under connections it said you had connection to 343i it wasn’t guaranteed to be the case you had to check on Halo Waypoint that it actually said your twitch name and not dots if it said the dots and you claimed the drops the codes don’t get redeemed even though twitch says the connection is ok, lets you progress the drops and claim them while saying “game account connected” over the drops in your inventory no account is actually connected apparently and this messed up the drops for a lot of people basically sent them to nowhere because twitch thinks an account is connected when it’s not.

To even claim the drops twitch forced you to connect to Waypoint with a redirect link literally everyone who tried to get the drops did try to link their account properly on Waypoint to twitch it wasn’t anyone’s fault but 343 or Twitch or both. I know for a fact I linked my Waypoint account to Twitch before I claimed any drop but on Twitch it says you have limited time to link your accounts after claiming the drops implying you don’t have to link accounts before claiming them and then you also have them saying sometimes drops take time to fulfill in game making a lot of people wait on even looking into it assuming it’s just taking some time, there’s so many factors to it.

I’ve also seen people saying they never had the “…” thing at all it always said their twitch name and still didn’t have the drops go through it just seems like for some people they were bugged no matter what they did. I’m pretty sick of seeing people claiming it’s definitely everyone else’s fault just because the drops worked for them and explaining how the drops worked like it’s hard to understand or like we should have immediately known something was wrong when on twitch it said you had the connection to 343i and let you progress and claim the drops why would you assume anything is wrong? I didn’t check in Infinite immediately because I was watching the streams and actually enjoying them unlike people such as you being smug over coatings and a pose probably only watched for the minimum 3 hours and dipped. I did eventually get into Infinite before the streams ended and I noticed I didn’t have the coatings so I checked and saw all about the “…” issue and I checked Waypoint and lo and behold I had the dots and unlinking and relinking once fixed the issue and displayed my twitch name then claiming victory cry pose worked I didn’t do anything different besides unlinking my account and relinking between claiming the 2nd coating and the victory cry pose it fixed the issue completely so I can confirm that the dots thing was an actual problem I have pictures to prove it which I sent to support. Twitch said my account connection was established to 343i when I had the dots and if I had known that this c ould be an issue beforehand I would have noticed but I didn’t know it was supposed to display my twitch name it’s easy to say you should have known in hindsight but why would you think “…” means something has gone wrong? That usually means something is loading which is what I assumed

So every other drop by every other company I’ve successfully claimed, the only issues I’ve had have been with 343’s HCS drops but it’s definitely my fault. Ok got it

Nice bait

Seriously though the armor and weapon skins are really good so I hope 343 give people another chance to get them

If you went on a new site, linked your Halo WayPoint to twitch and it ““linked it”” unaware that “…” means it hasn’t. It’s not our fault that 343i’s faulty site done us over that we’re unaware that the link didn’t work. why should their faulty system be “Our fault” It’s like if you put your card in a cash machine and it just deleted $20. it’s not your fault that the machine deleted the money.

Partly both. 343 just has weird issues with registering completion of criteria for rewards, and Twitch has always been hit or miss.
