A lot of ppl like rocking the Noble Helmet, 343.

Here is a little reason to why 343’s design is horrible compared to what Halo Reach gave us. Looking back you can plainly see that the armor back then was actually made for war and not a fashion show and looking at what Halo 4 and 5 has given us, you can definitely that a lot if not all of the people like Halo Reach armor because at least it looked like it was suppose to look like and not this BS of a design 343 brought in.

Some of the 343 helmets are pretty cool and ‘realistic and ready for war’. Look at War Master.

I bounce between noble helioskriil recon and protector

War Master realistic? That’s funny.

I don’t know, 343is version of security is the best looking one yet. And the Athlon set is nice and rounded and looks like a proper modern training suit for spartans. Not all of the armor is good but there are some gems in there for sure. If anything the color palette/saturation and how spartans almost appear to be glowing is a greater problem…Halo 5 is the least real looking of all the Halo games it looks very esportsy and arcadish in a way…just look at the upcoming Athlon champion set. And they are bringing the mk IV halo wars style into the multiplayer for the very first time…I greatly look forward to getting that set.

I feel like Copperhead would be my go to… too bad I don’t have it yet :(. RNG has me crying over here

I honestly prefer to have the Locus helmet to any of the helmets given from Halo:Reach.
don’t get me wrong the armor provide by reach was more interesting.
some armor given between Halo:Reach-Halo 4&5 will always very.
a change of taste is good but to an extent.
I will agree that some of the armor 343 has given us is a bit funky.

I do want my robot arm, and tall as heck paldrons, but cmon on, you’re asking for a fashion show while calling it a fashion show?!

343, alot of people want Mark#s.

Yeah, it’s called nostalgia, not some subversive statement about how they feel about armor design.

Definitely needs to go back to Halo Reach Armor sets. If not their concepts and at least keep the good ones we have seen now. Another thing is have more armor customization options. Its getting redundant to continually scroll through armor while being limited to a whole set and I’m seeing a lot of armor from other armors being used which I do not understand. Might as well have one type of armor set that can be mixed and match and have multiple helmets.

Honestly in Halo reach I felt that there were only 2 or 3 pieces I could wear and switch between. which I did. Same goes for here. Though I’d love some sort of accessory function like in reach. Get me some thigh-bags or a pip-bo… err nav pad. or something.

If I had to wear War Master, I’d like that I had a giant visor so I can see as much as possible, unlike Scout where you get like 30 degree FOV vertically.

Haha, this.

To be honest, most the helmets in reach didn’t look that great. Noble 1’s helmet was one of the few that didn’t look bad. That’s why everyone is wearing from what I can tell, it doesn’t mean reach had better stuff. I don’t like how halo reac was just different pieces bolted on the same template, it was so boring and mostly UGLY.

I’m sorry but I disagree, Halo 1-2 looked the least realistic, and felt very Arcadey and esportsy the most. It had the brightest colors and it looked way more scifi, Halo 5 looks super realistic and in many ways bums me out. I miss the scifi look.

Reach had practical loooking military army, and it was beat up and paint was scuffed, it looked like it’s seen some combat.

Spartan armor in 4 and 5 are unscathed because they spend all their time indoors playing simulation

Just as “realistic” as Mark VI or any armor. The helmet might as well have been in the older Halos

Although I must admit that Noble is pretty awesome, and Reach did have arguable an overall style that was better in some way than 343’s. I think 343 still has a lot of good ones.

Right now I’m in love with this Freebooter-Tracer combo. And Recruit Marked is looking pretty good. They just need to work on giving us the black undersuit and I think things will be a lot better. There seems to be a kind of armor for everyone in Halo 5. (But they’d all look a little better if they had the black undersuit. Although some armors work perfectly well with the colored one.

Also, just a note. As you can tell from these screenshots. Different types of lighting have a drastic effect on armor textures in this game. And I mean drastic. You get a clayish look in some places, abut a glossy or metal or even damaged look in others. Kind of weird.

Spartans look very inconsistent in Halo 4 and 5. Variation is good, but it needs to be cohesive; so uh… not to the point where Master Chief looks like a -Yoinking- outcast with his angular and militarized design.

Wtf? It was 2001-2004. Graphics and art design was very limited back then.

Well you kinda got a point there but hey, it protects you so its enough for me
