And what you’re saying may be true, but I’m not the one who promised customization that would rival Reach and didn’t deliver. So I don’t care how hard it would be for them. They made promises they didn’t deliver on.
How so? I think it’s pretty relevant. Over the years, gamers have been receiving less and less. I think it’s totally fair to question the lack of content we’re receiving when previous games have provided much more.
Regardless of how it was done, they should’ve been able to properly rig up a proper feminine physique. They just gave us a simple slider to control the size of the model.
I can’t see how fixing this would take more time to do than shipping Infinite’s forge mode. Seems a bit far-fetched. This is forge we’re talking about.
The backlash is always hollow. Twitter is constantly in a perpetual rage. When screaming, and freaking out doesn’t work they get bored and go do it to someone else. The real consequences are null.
Given the current state of the comic books industry we can see the outcome of bending over backwards in a vain attempt to appease an outrage mob. It’s not profitable, nor is it viable.
Considering how often this topic comes up it stands as a testament to the desire to have more body types like we used to have. 343i’s focus should be aimed squarely on integrating player feedback over foreign entities trying to exert influence over something they will not interact with.
If we can handle the backlash from putting a cyber punk visor on a spartan but can’t manage a slight change in chest size, then the Halo community is done for anyway.
Cat ears too.

Again, irrelevant. This thread is not about lack of content. This thread is that the gender options in game are subpar.
My point is that 343i going backwards and making everything fit new body types (any for that matter) would be a huge time sink… That there are bigger issues that would take less time to solve.
Well we don’t know how long they’ve actually worked on Forge mode, nor do we know how much cosmetics are already finished, so hard to say but yes probably hyperbole on my part. Months (I don’t just mean 1 person either btw, I mean probably like a dozen people or something) of time would have to go in to this project, other aspects of the game would have to be deprioritized so I just believe its one of those things that sounds awesome on paper but doesn’t make much sense in practice. Space Battles in MP is another example of this lol.
If it were so easy to have a slider or a huge robust amount of options for this then we would’ve seen it before. Bungie only had 2 gender options (and Elites, may you RIP Arby
) over the course of a decade and 343i only ever had 2 as well to my knowledge.
They have a simple solution to this as I stated, just make a dummy thicc spartan core, and slowly add options for that core over time.
You missed my point. Fleshed out gender options are apart said content. Don’t be so quick to dismiss my point.
I understand that it’s not as simple as I make is sound. I’m just saying, it probably won’t take as long as forge is.
To some people, yes it does matter, they like to self-insert themselves into the game sometimes, or at least have their character somewhat accurately represent their body types.
There are different body types that anyone can choose from.
That’s very intentional design and there are currently no plans to change that.
