A lot of my female friends are weirded out by not having the ability to look like themselves

Lets me help you understand, we have always had male and female bodys, now we have 3 waist sizes to choose, there is no difference besides the waist change when we would like actual change, i have an excellent post showing how these could look if i could find it.
We can have the neutral bodys as long as those who want male and female definition can have those too

Depends on what you consider “fine”. Most people that make noise about graphical fidelity wouldn’t consider clipping, smoothing, and stretching of textures to be fine.

That said, and to reiterate my first point, it’s not an issue of “can’t” simply one of “it takes work that they apparently didn’t want to do”, for one reason or another.

There is so much clipping in halo infinite that i no longer want hear that argument, armour clips in entry animations, in menus, its misaligned as well as the armour effects.
It can be done, im hoping it gets done, but with 343 that will most likely be in 4 years and also cost $25

I don’t really believe many people care about this topic, it seems like something A few people are trying to Make an issue when it’s not an issue

On the same backend, mot many people would be upset at the addition of more body types, and not many people would have been upset had this system not changed at all, yet a minority drove a choice for this game, why cant it again?

I like thicc spartans just as much as the next guy, but I think this is extremely unlikely to result in anything.

343i have already spent months (probably tons of cosmetics already done in advance too) making everything fit the options we have now… So essentially this could take inordinate amounts of time to “fix” something while they have a burning building right behind them to attend to already.

I’m all for more customization options, but I really just want the game to work first

We all do, i dont think that should mean we cannot discuss other problems the game has.
343 is more then aware the game is a broke mess right now, these things need attention from them early on so they know some people would like it changed.

As little as it seems 343 does interact with the community more then other companys and something like this could be addressed at a later point

I think it’s going to happen but this sort of cosmetic change is on the same level as everything else we want, in progress. Even if the engine is capable of it they clearly havent figured out how to churn out new cosmetics in existing variants so they wouldn’t be popping out gender variants over the weekend.

I’m not sure what lore has to do with it. We already have katanas and mohawks. Surely different size of chest, hips, waist isn’t that radical in comparison.

I dont mean to be a sourpuss, but try not to make comments to much like that on threads like these, they are already shut down constantly because of the sexualized stigma around this discussion and this is the loudest one of these threads have been.
Just try to be civil till we get what we want

Maybe if we stop flagging and just use the different emotes we can live and let live.

Something which’d be compensated for in the undersuit to properly fit the armor plates. But yes, I can still see that.

You can’t really compensate for bigger hips and a smaller ribcage with the undersuit. Especially not with one as form fitting as depicted in game. And last games seem to support this.

i will fight for my right to have massive badonka donks on my spartan lest I feel misrepresented, or let anyone else feel the same >:-(

Oh i get the sentiment man, unfortunately some people here dont know what a joke is, and everyone else suffers for it

They would be more likely to offer it as another armor core option instead of going backwards and retroactively doing a bunch of legwork to make everything existing fit this model.

Besides that, I am not confident that this won’t just result in a huge backlash.

“343i are selling us hawt spartans for weebs” and blah blah blah.

I like your name btw, come as you are.

Its gone thru many alterations over the years, people keep reporting it so im forced to think up a new one every few years.
Glad you like it

Would not surprise me in the slightest

The stuff from Reach is all from a past game where everything fit body shapes with different size armor. If 343 can’t manage what Bungie did over a decade ago, I don’t know what to say.

Yeah but everything results in some backlash. As someone who develops code for objective scientific use, even I see backlash for every little thing. I spent a month debating a function name in a GitHub thread once (not by my choice). If they waited for people to come to a consensus then nothing would ever happen.

What you are saying is completely irrelevant.

Bungie made their entire customization system around two (did they ever have a third option?) options, Bungie never went back and just completely redid everything from the ground up.

To put this into perspective, this could take more time than Forge would. To be fair, it only becomes more difficult with time.

Again, I think the most likely scenario is them just offering it as another armor core option entirely. Then building that out over time.

Yes but at what point does the backlash significantly hurt the game reputation wise?
