A Look at the UNSC Leaders

I made this thread in hopes of organizing certain aspects of the UNSC leaders that may be in need of tweaking for the next patch, mainly Kinsano, Johnson, and Anders. For this thread I’d like to see some input from people who play these leaders often so we can see what their experience is. I’d also like to focus more on unique units rather than the ones available to all leaders (i.e. how Warthogs and Wolverines are often viewed as being weak).

The general consensus seems to be

Larger buffs:
Johnson
Anders

Lesser buffs:
Kinsano

Minuscule or no buffs:
Cutter
Isabel
Jerome

For the sake of convenience, I think it’d be best to assume that none of the Banished will be patched and focus on general gameplay that seems disadvantageous for each leader.

As someone who plays mostly Kinsano, I do have some experience but nothing about her needs large changes (except for possibly Napalm Missiles and Inferno).

Kinsano:

  • Fire damage in general I think would fare better if it did slightly more damage against Infantry, Scout Vehicles, and Leaders – Helbringers would be much better as a deterrent to rushes from leaders and Flame 'Hogs would be much more competitive against Hunters and Cyclops; this would increase damage for Hellbringers, Flame 'Hogs, and Kinsano’s Cyclops - Flame 'Hogs have very small health (I’ve heard similar things about the standard Warthog) and simply can’t compete against even infantry at the rate Marauders can; the starting flamethrower is also a little weak but the point above would alleviate that - Napalm Missiles and Inferno have low damage and DPS; the enemies practically bathe in it - The number of Hellbringers dropped in Helldrop should be increased by 1 for each level

I agree with who you said need buffs, and these Kinsano buffs actually seem really good.

The game is definitely in bigger need of small changes rather than large reworks. I just think every leader should have a chance early in the game rather than turtling for their best stuff.
