A look at the numbers (sort of)

A lot of people are saying Halo 5 has a low population, and this doesn’t disprove it, but I took to SimilarWeb (Website Visitor Tracker) to find out how many times people have visited both HaloWaypoint and HaloTracker in the past month. Just have a look:

Halo Waypoint ~ (1.8M)

Halo Tracker ~ (183K)

So yea, kind of interesting! Anyways, happy Halo-ing!

What about comparing a game that has a visible population to its website traffic?

Im not sure if the quality of connection to servers has gone down due to servers or population. On the other hand what are the chances of people messing with servers like for instance I was playing overwatch competitive and my team was owning it at the start we only needed 1 more point to win then it lagged like crazy for the next 3 rounds and we got owned. Overwatch is a game that gives me very little issue with lag I’ve only experienced lag in competitive.

If people can’t mess with Xbone then could they mess with servers? Surely some one has tried to hack them before.

I play a lot of Halo. But I visit Halo Waypoint in my free time, that’s a lot of numbers lol

I also think the main reason we believe the population to of went down is because of playlist we would most frequent becoming unplayable.

Like for me and most people in the UK WZ assault is really hard to find a game and even then it will likely be only in expanded and it will likely be too laggy to play. To put it in perspective, I have or had a pretty good handle on playing it to the point perfections in it were becoming a sort of common and easily obtainable. I’m in the bottom of the score board now most of the time and it’s a battle to stay positive. I can’t do all right if latency is consistent.

To be fair; half those waypoint log-ins were me. We also have a dedicated thread for Halo 5’s population which is linked below.

I’m intrigued. Does also measure the same guy coming back and fourth to the site? That’s a lot but interesting.
