Body type lackluster selection with only the waist changing. armor not fitting properly along with barely anything to customize not being able to color my spartan how I wish and probably won’t be able to unless they sell my desired combination I think the only thing they nailed was prosthetics but even then I wish I got kats robot arm instead of the ones we got and even the battle pass at least having every noble teams armor pieces in it when I get told I will be able to customize my spartan however I wish and there’d be 1000 different things to customize I feel like every halo did it better cause you could at least choose your colors and its little scummy to sell the base halo reach mark V chest piece with the knife seperate that should be on every piece of mark V chest armors or should’ve been in the battle pass sorry for the long post but I feel like spartan customization has gone downhill and regressed from passed games im ok buying armors but I also wanna feel like im constantly aiming to unlock something like my time isn’t wasted and I can feel like a badass spartan every time I see my spartan

never had any issues with that cause its the best armor 343 has ever made and i dont wanna torture myself playin halo 2 legendary just to get it

The open world aspect of the campaign, as well as the limited number of biomes that came with the decision to make it open world. Curated level/arena design and environmental variety > Big open fields of nothing with scattered groups of enemies.

I love that there’s just one single type of tree. Very realistic and pleasing to look at.
Exactly it’s the best armour and should be locked away behind one of the hardest challenges. Aka HALO 2 LEGENDARY. I was definitely proud of accomplishing that and it should’ve stayed rewarded with an exclusive skin.
The same should be true for infinite but there is no such thing
18m is too small it needs to be 22m, I don’t know when people are running up on me until they are on me even when they’re full sprinting they don’t pop up on radar until they’re in my face.
The only time I see someone near me pop up on radar is when they are above or below me.
I was so proud of getting Helioskrill its such a nice armor, beating Halo 1, 2, 3 and 4 on legendary I did it solo it was an accomplishment that I felt great doing. It was almost like doing the vidmaster challenges to get the pieces of recon armor.
Then 343 drops it in the Halo 5 store behind gold req packs, was very unhappy and annoyed they did that. They literally gave the finger to people who did it legit and gave that armor away to everyone like candy.
It defeated the purpose of playing mcc to get the armor it made me feel like a fool of why I even bothered doing all 4 campaigns on legendary and it made it feel like a waste of my time, that added on majorly to the loss of trust I was having with 343 for Halo.
Those variants should’ve either been given as challenges to do for the people that got helioskrill or maybe be behind doing LASO.
Thank god for Destiny 1 (GODLY GAME) because it made me forget that Mcc and Halo 5 exist for awhile because those games sucked back in 2014 and 2015 into 2017.
Breaks my heart because Halo Wars 2 had a stellar campaign. Like honestly, let Creative Assembly write the story. They good at that.

This was the comment I was looking for.
The gameplay itself I actually enjoy and am having fun playing.
But the customization in this game is so terribly messed up and disappointing.
It’s confusing to navigate. Unlocking new helmets and stuff is too grindy or too expensive.
I can’t pick my own color mix? Really? Just a flat out miss that I was not expecting in this game.
