There are so many people out there that were dissapointed in Halo 4’s Multiplayer because of the personal classes and the ordnance drops which didn’t gave the multiplayer the classic Halo experience. On the other hand are there many people out there that like those changes for the Multiplayer , so I want to suggest for the next Halo Title ( Halo5/2014/XboxOne) that Multiplayer gets splitted into two sections.
One section that has personel classes, armor abillities , ordnance drops , etc. And one section that is completely classicly build up. No armor abillities, no personel made classes and no ordnance drops.
This could give old fans and new people to the franchise the possibilty to play the classic Multiplayer that we know from Halo 1-3 in the new title and still let them play Halo like it is known from Halo Reach and Halo 4.
Those who might not like the new kind of gamemodes and addidtions of it like ordnance drops or personel classes can just go the classic section of the multiplayer if they want to and can be happy with it play like in the good old times and those who liked the Halo Reach or Halo 4 multiplayer more than from the other games can play it on the other section of the multiplayer.
It should not be such a big deal with it in building such kind of multiplayer into a game , even though it technicly would mean to build two mulitplayers in one game. Please 343, think about this.
Maybe you should have done this thread in the Halo: Xbox One forum, just saying.
Moved to the appropriate section.
Carry on!
okay, I made an extended version of this post for Halo Xbox One forum.
Lol. didn’t knew that a monitor saw this post and moved it to an other section. well, thank you crazybydefault.
That would great, it would possibly bring back older players that stopped playing, it would still keep the new players.
That’s the point of it. The majority of the community ( old and new) can choose which type of Halo they want. Classic or “nowadays”.

This idea has been tried and failed several times. I’m not saying it’s a bad idea. It’s actually a great one. I love extra options. The ability to make decisions.
They have tried before though. Remember CLASSIC playlists in Halo Reach? We had them, but people still complained. We had Anniversary too. People still complained. We have Throwdown. People still complain.
If they do what you have described, two total multiplayer types, people will still complain. Most likely about the population.
Honestly, we don’t need to spread the community out anymore. We need to bring them together. Compress the playlists. No more BTIS. I want some Big Team Battle. Slayer, and objective with two teams of eight, -Yoink!-.

Know you’re doin’ your jerb. And I’d hate to be a -Yoink-, but I’m gonna say what everyone is thinking. When you move threads OUT of the most popular thread on the forum, you’re kinda killing the thread.
Signing the certificate before it dies completely.
OH EDIT: Off topic too, but quick question.
Did you guys disable the curse filter? Cause I said -Yoink- like three times in a post and it wasn’t censored.
Infinity settings by default are not exactly what you’d call ‘arena style competitive’.
Classic settings are.
To expand on your topic (sorry), use Infinity Settings as the base for the more Social type game types and use Classic Settings as the basis for Ranked game types.
That’s how I’d design it around.
I’ve always wanted Ranked and Social to return (with Ranked being a more classic experience).

And Social being modern gameplay, it seems like a fair medium

That was what I meant, yes. And we could see the return of Double XP Weekends which will allow both Communities to get together and have some fun on a various set of crazy playlists. That can also solve the problem of rotational playlists.

Yeah! And that playlist could be legendary slayer which is a mix of both classic and modern apparently
Yeah, people complained and people still will complain. That is something no one can avoid. But as far as I remember were those playlists like Throwdown not in the game since there were released. They were patched / updated into the games severel week after the releases of the games. and that was for some people a reason to continues to complain about anything.
But if 343I gives us so many options to choose from already when the game is released , people could enjoy this game without complaining about the gametypes and stuff.
(Sorry for my not so good english.)
