Why are 343 just throwing away XP with all these waypoint codes and the extra XP week coming up?

I think they are doing this because they want as many people at 130 as possible. So if they do increase the rank cap the majority of people will have all the spcialiastons and therefore everyone will be on equal playing grounds.

Anybody else got any thoughts on why so much XP is being given away?

because people love being given stuff and xp doesn’t cost anything to give away?

Maybe it’s for people who only just get the game, the ones waiting for it to be really cheap, or the ones with financial issues.
