A little help please? I have a Forge problem.

I’m creating a map for Capture the Flag. I have both bases, I have weapons, I have vehicles and I even have the Flag Spawn plate and the Capture plate.

Now, I can pick up the flag but when I take it too the Capture plate nothing happens.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Is there a specific game-label I have to set it too aside from CTF?

-edit-
This is for a One-Flag Capture the Flag match I should point out. One base has the flag whilst the other base has the Capture plate.

is there a label called “CTF_Capture” or something?

because just the “CTF” label won’t cut it

You need two capture plates (one for each base) I believe. I tried something similar and it didn’t work out either. I think it’s because of how scoring works, you get points for each flag capture and whoever gets X points in X time wins. That can’t be done with one flag and 1 capture plate, as only 1 team can score.

No. The options I have are:

CTF
CTF_FLAG_RETURN
CTF_RES_ZONE
CTF_RES_ZONE_AWAY
TEAM_SPAWN

I hope what you say isn’t true and that there is a solution because the entire map is built around it being a One-Flag game…

hmm

have you tried looking at the Built-in Halo 4 CTF maps to see if you can find how they label/set the capture plate?

343 took One-Flag CTF out of Halo, unfortunately. There is a workaround over at Forge Hub but it requires some tricky work.

If you would like to see 343 address this, and many other Custom Game options, I suggest supporting this thread: https://forums.halowaypoint.com/yaf_postst127421_Custom-game-options-are-unacceptable–343.aspx

I could be wrong, that’s just my best guess based on what the game did to me.

Is it possible for you to give me a link to this “workaround” at Forge Hub? I really don’t want to spend what could be up to an hour re-editing most items.

I just looked at it and there is only the Flag Spawn plates… which is possibly the worst news I can endure when it comes to Halo 4 at this point, mainly because this is my first proper attempt at building an actual map.

You were correct. One-Flag isn’t available in Halo 4, unless you do some very tricky work-arounds.

Sure: http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-4-forge-discussion/142291-one-flag-ctf.html

Like other people have mentioned, you cannot set up a one-flag CTF game in Halo 4 yet (there’s always the chance 343 Industries gives us an official one-flag game type in the future).

In the mean time, there are methods for ‘disabling’ one of the flags, which can make two-flag CTF function like one-flag–but you’re still going to have the two-flag objective waypoints. The waypoints can confuse players, but it’s the only currently available alternative.
