A Little Game Called Rage

So, as you may or may not know, there was this game on the last generation of consoles (and PC) that ran at 1080p, 60 frames per second and looked about twice as good as what Halo 5 looks like. Now, you could ask a question like, "Why does MCC run at 1080p and look nearly as good as Halo 5 and yet they’re having struggles maintaining the framerate when you introduce split-screen? It’s simple, the building blocks of the Halo engine are dated and not appropriate for this new generation. Look at Destiny, the game runs at 30 fps at best (that I know of). It’s clear than Bungie (I know they didn’t make Halo 5, before you call me tarded) cannot match the tech that other developers come up with to maintain smooth framerates and gorgeous visuals. Bioshock Infinite is another game that’s smooth as butter on the last generation of consoles. 343 could have done well by picking up those guys when Irrational closed. I’m not sure if this is an entirely new engine but if it is then why can’t 1080p, 60 fps be achieved and split-screen made possible? It’s not a limitation of hardware, as many would suggest. It’s purely in the code. No h8, love you 343.

Just another splitscreen thread. Nothing to see here. There’s a better SS thread on the front page…

This is on the front page of the Halo 5 forum? Haha, and also, it’s not a split-screen thread. Learn to read.

Riiight…
Denial…

Rage was not 1080p 60fps on the 360. That’s not possible.

It really was, dude. Go play it.
The absolute best looking console game of all time.
Well, actually, I’m not really sure because I can’t find anything on it anymore, but it looks better than Destiny and Halo 5, that’s for sure.

Yeah, no. Rage was not at all the graphical landmark you make it out to be.
