A List of Suggested Prices for Halo Infinite Shop Items

Reposted from Reddit for visibility. A continuation from my last topic about general changes to the store that should be made: https://forums.halowaypoint.com/t/changes-that-should-still-be-made-to-the-store/496325

With the storefront this week seeing players continue to argue about stuff being overpriced, I think what needs to happen is for the community to give very specific feedback about what individual items should cost. So I went ahead and got as specific as humanly possible. I’ve compiled a list of every conceivably purchasable item in the game with suggested prices for those items divided by rarity. Anyone reading this should feel free to copy, paste, and edit this list to give their own feedback on what they feel certain cosmetics should be worth. With any luck, this will be a step towards establishing a community consensus on the matter which 343i will take into account.

Without further ado …

I think:

  • Rarity shouldn’t exist.
There are no loot boxes (it should stay that way), and items are cosmetic.
  • Most items should be cross-core.
    Items already have clipping.
  • Emblems shouldn’t be sold or earned as multiple items.
  • Simple colors and color combinations should be free (really, each armor piece’s color should be customizable).
  • Some items should be split like shoulders for more customization options (Gloves, Wrists, Knee pads).
  • Kits should be a way to save and share customization combinations.
  • Challenge swaps and XP boosts should be free.

What I want is for 343I to have some mild hint of integrity, and not go back on their word.

343i needs to monetize the game somehow, and the only alternative to monetizing cosmetics would be to go back to paid map packs and such, which is a terrible idea that would do nothing but divide the player base. If priced fairly and placed alongside cosmetics that can be earned just through gameplay (like the stuff from the events), I’m fine with purchasable cosmetics.

Divide the playerbase!? Have you paid attention to this community at all!?

And make money SOMEHOW!? You’ve got to be trolling. They sold 81 MILLION COPIES OF THIS GAME FOR 60 BUCKS PLUS A 10 DOLLAR GAMEPASS! Do some basic math buddy.

I mean in the sense that matchmaking would be divided between players that bought the map packs and those who didn’t. A smaller pool of players to play with while matchmaking means more chance of connection issues, not being able to get into games, etc. Hence, it’s a bad idea to go back to that (desync is enough of a problem as it is).

You mean like every Halo since Halo 3? That’s why they had DLC playlists. It didn’t make anyone leave. In fact both Bungie, and 343I made loads of money off of it.

That’s a straw man my dude. “They shouldn’t make map packs, because it’ll just make desync worse.” How about they fix desync, and make the damn DLC bundles?

I’d rather get more maps for free and have them incorporated into existing playlist rotations for more variety.

Nothing is free. You’re paying the cost of having a broken dead shell of a game.

I actually haven’t spent a cent of my own money on this game, but whatever.

Nah, 343 needs to stop manipulating the unsuspecting players and follow through with their own words. There should be a system set up like Halo 5 rec points, no exceptions.

Right now, 343 has shown they a full of it, that they rather lie and manipulate the players than do right by them.

I’m definitely in favor of earnable credits (hopefully, the implementation of that during Season 2 is decent), but please no RNG loot boxes. I HATE those. Also, the stuff in REQ packs that affected Warzone amounted to P2W, which, haha no thanks.

The problem is, from what I understand it’s only for BP holders when they should be backing up their own words of what they actually promised the player base.

Funny that you brought up the rec packs in Halo 5 because I’m sure things are going to be worse off if and when firefight is added. This is how far gone 343 is, and because of their actions they have ruined Halo.

I’d like it if they charged $30-60 for the Battle Pass, and you could unlock everything available in the season.

What’s the source for that?
It sounds fake, but if true, they might’ve already made more money than the rumored budget (300M more), and that’s just if you consider $10 Game Pass subscriptions.

They probably mean it’s a subpar experience because of the change to free-to-play.

343i definitely needs to provide a means for those who don’t buy the premium battle pass to earn credits. Maybe make the credits part of the free portion of the pass, or tie earnable credits to matches and/or in-game performance.

Interesting, trying to use bait to what they actually said. Sorry, this doesn’t work. Maybe if 343 did talk so much because talk is cheap, and say the things they did people would have a different perspective.

As I said, talk it cheap…

I mean, I’m still enjoying myself quite a bit. Really, aside from store changes and technical fixes, I just would like to see more maps, modes, and weapons, and those things coming are simply a matter of me waiting.

It was common sense that 343 doesn’t seem to have seeing how their greed took over.

All 343 needed to do was compromise. No one is saying give everything for free, but they need to offer a lot more than what they have offered so far, and what they have offered isn’t anything to brag about, especially how empty the game actually is.
