I’ve been playing nothing but breakout for a while now and love it.
But Halo 5, ehhhh, not so much.
Playing breakout really emphasizes some game breaking issues and why halo 5 will struggle to become competitive without 343 dumping the microtansactions into tourneys.

The flag is impossible to pick up if it is sitting on a pile of weapons. You’ll most likely just cycle through all the weapons on the ground until you can pick up flag. Huge Issue for flag based matchmaking.

Melee seems really on and off. Sometimes I’ll get a trade when I know I don’t deserve it, and other times I go in for an easy melee/trade and it simply doesn’t register or completely ignores the button mash or the hit. I like the change to lunging though. Now you have to be moving in the direction to get the acceleration towards the dude.
3.(some one correct me if there is none, but it sure feels like there is)
BULLET MAGNETISM: omg. wth. This is the most infuriating thing in precision weapon fights. when you trade shots with another person they get pulled out of ADS and the reticule becomes irrelevant. Both players are aiming the reticule somewhere on the upper portion of the target’s body, but the game decides on it’s own whether to register it as a body shot or headshot. This becomes very noticeable during ranged pistol fights. The bottom of the inner reticule can be touching the tippy top of the player’s head and still possibly count as a headshot.
- something is wonky about the aim assist. sometimes I get aim assist on players behind walls, sometimes it feels like it’s not there at all.
I wrote this based on the feel of the game. Nothing can be proven in theater because the server vs. client perception seems wonky as well.
I’ll give you one…while joining a BTB game I was entered into the game while it was in progress. The game was almost over and while waiting for my first spawn (yes I haven’t even entered the game yet) the game ended and it counted as a loss and my CSR went down. HOW CHEAP WAS THAT!

I had the same problem the first time I played btb, it was ctf and as soon as I spawned the enemy team captured their last flag, ending the game. My csr didn’t go down though, because that was my first battle, nine left to qualify.
ya the picking up guns instead of the flag is so obnoxious.
I think aim assist/bullet magnetism is effected by connection quite a bit. Because like you said…sometimes it feels on, sometimes it feels way off. A good amount of the time I feel like I’m on target but my shots aren’t hitting. Or people will get away WAY more than they should because shots aren’t registering.
Why is it that every Halo game apparently just is way more tasking on internet connection? Like I play Battlefield Hardline and other games and they run fine majority of the time…even with two xbox one’s going. But Halo…na…just having someone in the house streaming destroys it…even with 40mbs internet. I really gotta figure out something…

I’ve been dropped from matches at the very start and have gotten the ban hammer and CSR drop. Never had an issue with my internet playing other games. I had two consoles running here a week or so ago, and surprisingly, it worked without any hiccups.

I thought for sure they just said they removed JIP from BTB last Friday the 20th? When was the last time you played?
I personally like JIP but I am almost positive it has been removed from BTB.
