A.I. Versus seems unbalanced!

I have been enjoying the multiplayer of Halo Wars 2, but I have been experiencing some unbalanced game play against the A.I.

Some matches, you are challenged in a very good strategic way from the A.I., helping you learn from your mistakes and react with countermeasures etc. And hopefully succeed or come away from a defeat with some very useful experience and knowledge where I would need to improve.
However, there are games that the A.I. will just… BOOM… come up with a rush so impossible to comprehend in the early stages of a match…! Which just leaves you confused on how they managed to produce such a mass load of units, sometimes of one type… in a short amount of time??

I am not an expert on this game of course, but I do find it very odd on how some matches, the A.I. behave like a competitor, to one that just seems very odd and inconceivably powerful in an early stage of the match…?

Constructive feedback please. And any tips would be great if anyone has managed to combat such an odd tactic the A.I. sometimes does.

Tbf on the AI, the early zero rush is something that online players tend to use. Like a lot of people won’t just try to make their forces stronger they will just spawn loads of infantry and rush towards the Base while I make upgrades and get better units.

I agree!
But damn… so many in a short space of time…!! My poor team mate got swamped by lots of Choppers… Whilst we were only setting up with our own units…

He must’ve focused their efforts on building up resources since choppers are good against infantry and are cheap and require no energy.

Np. ‘Know your Enemy’ and you will become better

The AI doing different things every match makes it interesting, I however I’ve had so many games that are either easy or crushingly hard, never seem a perfect match

Don’t even mention the chopper rush, it’s happened to me way too many times. Too late, I’m already getting flashbacks. But on a more serious matter, yes, I believe the AI rushing are a little to fast and overpowered. I still have yet to beat a chopper rush.

I played a game where the aid wiped both my team mates in minutes but left me for nearly an hour. Needless to say I had plenty of time to assemble an army.

I kind off wish each Ai would initially choose one player to focus on, they wouldn’t necessarily have to attack them from the get go, but they would focus their forces primarily on that player.

Playing other strategy games make me wish the Ai would choose a random stance throughout the game. Like one Ai could turtle, another rush and another go pure tech boom

What difficulty are you playing on?

I find heroic rushes to be super weak here’s a clip from me holding back the rush and then counter attacking to win the game:

The important move on that is the scouting, had I not built a chopper to scout I couldn’t have found their army heading towards my base, so I was able to hold them back with turrets.
