Hey, do you guys believe A.I.'s have emotions? Because they all came from a person…so would they have their emotions? Then again they are computer programs…what do you guys think?
This is where the Halo Universe is very unique when it comes to AI’s. Black Box is a good example of a mix. He knows he’s a computer program, and he knows he came from someone’s brain. Yet he embraces his own personality quirks which make him a very human character. He knows he is an AI which is why he is a simple cube. They have personalities. Emotions are something different. I don’t think they can experience emotions in the same way as we do.
Well, Cortana had emotion but I believe she was brain tissue from Dr. Halsey. I’m not 100% sure though.
“Smart” AIs have emotions, per First Strike and Contact Harvest. They’re able to control them and turn them off at will, though.
