I’ve been a long time fan of halo and one of my favorite aspects is the overall aesthetic of the franchise, who doesn’t like space? I’m not really interested in bashing the req system since I can understand why they would implement it and honestly it was a decent idea. I’d rather suggest a few key ideas to improve in the future.

If your going to do armor variants don’t make it a separate piece of armor to unlock, let us just unlock it once and maybe through a challenge allow us to unlock the variants so its a sub set within one piece of armor.

While its fine to have some pieces of armor purchasable through the req system we still need to have pieces that are unlocked through achievements or challenges. Ideally more then just a handful, it would be nice to a have a good mix of requirements to unlock armor pieces. The olive helmet is cool but lets be realistic 99.99% of all halo 5 players will never get it and and probably wont ever even see it, at which point its unobtainable and people stop caring.

Making the armor modular again is a bigger deal then 343 realizes. People LOVE customization. Really its just a glorified fashion show but when you customize a spartan you connect with the spartan and it becomes your spartan as dumb as that sounds. Seeing so many people wearing the same thing becomes boring, even the tiniest options have great impacts. Halo Reach had 10 customization options. Helmets left and right shoulders, chest, wrist, utility, visor color, knee guards, armor effect, firefight voice. Customization in reach was like shuffling a deck of cards, always unique. Halo 5 has three. Cut down on the useless 200+ variants and widen the options.
Just my thoughts for the future
