I dislike adding to the complaint threads and the stigma of Waypoint being a breeding ground for complaints, but I do feel this needs to be discussed and I haven’t seen that happen yet.
My claim: Many times I have trouble seeing things on the Hud, because the color of the items nearly perfectly matches the Hud display. Sometimes it’s the aiming reticle (some Stormbreak angles) or the motion tracker or most commonly the words.
Example A is just relatively difficult to read.
Example B is completely invisible to me lol. I have to zoom in to see that there are even words there.
My recommendation: Add a thin black border around the white text and/or parts of the hud that may match color palettes on some maps.
Please help me keep this post alive for a bit if you agree with me or have any different recommendations. Also let me know if you don’t experience this. I’m partially colorblind so there is a chance this only applies to people with the same degree of colorblind and may not be as big a deal as I perceive it to be. Lastly, if you have any evidence of this yourself, please share.
I agree. Any maps with white details being placed in direct light make it harder for players to see the location, and any other text on screen besides the kill log. By the way, it’s not because of your colorblindness, it’s just nearly unreadable. When I play next, I’ll try to showcase parts of maps with this problem.

Well I’m glad it’s not just me. I’ll also try to take some more screenshots.

Lol that would be extreme! I personally think the thin black border is a better fix, but to each their own.
I see how that can be a problem! That’s definitely a good thought. It would make things easier to read as long as the outline is subtle, if it’s too dark then the opposite might happen.
I see it perfectly blind but then again I have perfect vision. So I’m assuming it may be a color blind issue? If so why not add a feature like in other games to switch the colors for color blind people (example destiny has a fesuture to change colors of exotics and etc to someone who’s colorblind)

So in example b you folk can read “blue base” fine? That’s crazy lol. I can’t see it at all. Oh well, maybe there is something weird going on.

Snow maps definitely benefit the most from my proposition, but other maps would as well I forget the name of the map in my linked image in the OP (is it Basin?) but it would benefit as well.
Not colorblind here and I have the same problems. They tend to be on home base spawns especially on Apex7, I can never read the respawn timer because it is so bright.
I never really thought of that. I can see why that would be a problem, like if you have to play with the volume down, combined with the low visibility of the text you might not notice that the power weapons are about to spawn.
As someone who’s also partially color blind, all I can say is screw this game’s HUD haha.
I looked at your picture and at first was like “Why is he circling nothing?”
I forgot there was even text below the radar because I can almost never see it
Normally not too much of a problem, because I’d never use those callouts anyway. It does get to be a problem when I can hardly see red spartans in a red base / brown background. If they’re standing still they may as well be using active camo.

Yeah this is actually a pretty big issue for me. I am color blind and with some of the colors and then when it hits angles of lighting or backgrounds similar to your example, well I flat out couldn’t tell you what was on the screen. It has caused me quite a bit of unneeded deaths.

Thanks for the support folks! I would really love to see this change made. Hopefully I’ll get more evidence when I play tonight.
