A hint to the Halo: CEA Firefight map?

Based on Bungie’s new vidoc, O Brave New World, they say that one of the inspirations to Firefight in Halo 3: ODST was the entrance to the ship immediately after going on the massive grav-lift on Truth and Reconciliation, where the player would fight several waves of Covenant that advanced from four different directions before finally advancing.

In addition, Frank O’Connor said that the Firefight map in Halo: CEA would be an obvious location.

Since T&R is a level in the original Halo, do you think that this area is going to be the Firefight area?

I was actually thinking of flood firefight and an obvious location for that would be the library.

It seems quite possible.

These are potential maps I speculate:
-Pillar of Autumn, where Covenant aircraft constantly attach to the ship and send new waves.
-Halo, where you defend the marines and the ships land near the beginning of the level.
-T&R, mentioned in the OP.
-343 GS, where you first meet the Flood.
-Library, some place where you have to hold of the Flood while you wait for the Monitor.

I thought of this: You play as the Covenant, holding the Truth and Reconciliation grav lift against waves of Flood, from the level “Keyes.”

One problem: how do you play as the Covenant? And he said it would be obvious.

You can play as the Covi in the Reach engine. If that was to happen I’m sure with the update they would be able to add an option “flip” it.

In a custom Firefight lobby, try switching to Blue Team.

Ta-da, that is how you play Firefight Versus.

I saw that as a “hint” so to speak as well. I suspect that the ship in “Truth and Reconciliation” or one of the spots on the mission “Halo” in Halo: CE will act as the new Firefight map.

Not a really good level:

-no safe initial spawn point
-no vertical spaces (only a single floor)
-no obvious vehicle spawn

The lack of vehicle spawns is what makes me hate it from the start as there is a serious lack of vehicles in FF maps in general without requiring dropships and considering the FF commendation numbers to get to max or even onyx requires a whole lot more than the numbers that are spawning.
