A Hero Awakens analysis

Just my opinions and observations on parts of the vidoc.

Looks like a Death Star. I would say it’s Requiem, but the clouds in the image throw me off, plus the sky is not black, as you would expect to see in space.

Looks to be a Forerunner room, the thing in the middle is likely a Forerunner terminal. I’m guessing that this happens in the 3rd mission.

This is a strange image indeed. It happens just after an explosion, and just before both Phantoms crash to the ground. There appears to be a portal in the background, but it’s possible it’s simply Requiem’s artificial moon. No idea what could have caused the bright flash of light/explosion.

Yes, I know, crappy image, but the original video didn’t give me much to work with. Seems to be the Cryptum awakening, also most likely happens in mission 3.

Not much here, but this, to my knowledge, is the first time we’ve seen the Fuel Rod in first person.

Most will immediately pass this off as being the entrance to Requiem, but that’s questionable. Notice how the two images don’t bear much resemblance, this one seems more portal like. I guess only time will tell.

Infinity with a FLEET of human ships, at least 5 Marathon or Halcyon ships (hard to tell since we haven’t seen official Halo 4 styled Marathon cruisers yet). Also, the world is not Requiem, or the other planet that will be touched upon later, it’s most likely Earth.

Here we can see that FUD also gets scanned.

MC and a scientist. Might be Halsey, as she is confirmed to be in Halo 4. Whoever she is, she looks to be important.

This image is quite interesting. Not only do we see Master Chief, apparently unconscious, on a seemingly human structure. Also, the planet seen in the title screen of Halo 4 is also in the background, so a Halo is most likely nearby. This might sound crazy, but I think it might have been fired. Obviously not at full setting, as Master Chief won’t be killed off this early, but maybe at a lower setting that only knocks him unconscious, and possible kills those who aren’t Spartans. But if this is true, Cortana might not know that, this could be a very emotional scene.

Thanks man I’ve been looking for a great analysis and you have giving me more things to think about.

Thanks for those images and analysis, I hate trying to pause videos at certain points, lol.

Good post OP

I think you may have missed this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QULEcokHPQc&feature=player_detailpage#t=625s

Look at Cortana, she seems more solid compared to this http://www.lockepick.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Halo-4-Cortana-390x250.jpg

Great post man.

Looks the same to me.

Keep in mind that all of this is from an older build, 343i has stated that their transparency filter was not working very well in this build.

Haha, same here. That picture of Chief taking cover from the Cryptum was a pain to get.

Does anyone have any ideas on what that “Death Star” in the first image could be? It has me stumped. Same with the wrecked ship in the same image.

Hey freat post man, But the first image like you said is actually Reqium, They are out in space and the image before the Reqium looks like pillar of autumn where MC was at at the end of 3, You can kinda of make sence of it once you notice that the image in front is a ship and it’s not flying it’s drifting the thrusters aren’t working and there is debris around it.

It’s concept art of Requiem. The wrecked ship is likely the Forward Unto Dawn, even though it doesn’t look like it. Like I said, it’s a concept drawing, not in-game, meaning that Requiem will probably resemble the Death Star less, and there might not be gas clouds orbiting it.

We’ll have to wait and see. It most likely is Requeim, but there’s always the possibility that it isn’t.

I loved these ViDoc analyses threads back in 2010.

Good post.

Great pictures and good analysis I enjoyed reading this.
