If both Microsoft and 343 Industries start planning to do a Halo movie after the Halo TV Series from Showtime, is it possible that the movie will set either before or during the events from both Halo Reach and Halo Combat Evolved? What are your thoughts?

I think the safe bet would be for 343 to do a movie set during the Covenant War. That’s what most casual fans are familiar with. Deeper lore like the pre-Covenant era isn’t as well known or understood by the wider audience.
Like Happy said. They should focus on the Human Covenant-war if a movie were to happen. As for who should feature in it, I would rather it not be based mainly on Chief aa there are only so many stories you can base on Chief before it gets boring, there are other Spartan-IIs and Spartan-IIIs in the universe which I would find a whole lot more enjoyable. But saying that I also wouldn’t mind a little Chief cameo, as he’s still significant.
I wish see the beginning of the Noble team like halo: the fall of reach (I know it’s not cannon)
I think it would be good if they start from kidnapping of the Spartans when they were children… they could make that really gritty and dark as it would involve ONI
But yeah maybe better to start with maybe Human covernent war to draw people in
