A Halo for your Halo

But there’s precedent for that assumption to have been made in the thread all of us have participated in.

Not a stretch to deduce that’s what you meant.

I’m just giving you a hard time Trand :joy:

It is what it is my guy

If you buy and wear this cosmetic, you are not a true Spartan. Spartan armor is supposed to be fit for the training grounds of Multiplayer and not looking more like for the office party

Yeah but Hayabusa looked cool in a spartan feel…cat ears not so much

So people that picked pink spartan armor and kitty cat emblems in the Halo CE/Halo 2 days were fit for the training grounds?

It’s lightish red with a baby killer puma decal.

No, halo 3 had a grunt birthday party skull. Halo reach had it as an armor effect, which is what you were talking about. Try again.

What point are you even trying to make here? How are game modifying skulls not unique? Their whole purpose is to change the game enough to give you a reason to find/equip them… As for the rest of the lot, their whole existence was contrarian to the halo style (hence their uniqueness) AND they were successfully integrated.

/non canon legendary ending. This really needs no explanation.

“Successfully integrated” can be done in any number of ways. Achilles, fotus, fireteam raven, elite armor, etc are perfect examples. They fit the art style, fit the lore, are made unique in that access to them is limited and are not too unbelievable despite how tacky.

Cool, I could still earn it in game making it less of a cash grab. I guess its just bungie>343 for the millionth time :man_shrugging:

This is you every post lol

Well to be fair, there are no laws dictating what halo’s art style can or cannot be. HOWEVER, i believe you can rationally point out each halo games distinct art style as you can with anything else. Like you said with hayabusa, it wasn’t exactly halo-esque, but as it still retained the mjolnir frame and was just as limited as any other armor set. Armor effects are imposed on top of an already existing armor style so its tricky to not get these mixed up. They’re their own debate and throw a wrench in the art style as they clearly distract from whats underneath despite being separate to the armor style and in some cases even affect gameplay. In halo 3 the flaming helmet cant be turned off in active camo, the armor effects in reach are so obvious you can be seen from behind walls, and now in infinite they aren’t even aligned correctly with the character model.

I will say, the price is pretty spot on for this one, but I dont wear armor effects. I’m a tactical player (in the sense of playing sweaty not swat), I dont need to be a shining light bulb for everyone to shoot lol

I don’t think that matters so much. You don’t really see them when your opponents’ have a yellow outline,

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i wasn’t. Go back and re-read exactly what I said that you responded to. I said nothing about the armor effect in Reach. Please, PLEASE read before you post.

Nothing about the implementation was unique. Pretty straightforward.

Oh, well then cat ears are unique as they are contrarian to the Halo style, and they were successfully integrated. Easy peasy.

You didn’t specify whether or not it had to be canon. Of course if this absolves the scene in your eyes, then you should be fine with multiplayer cosmetics since they have no bearing on the Halo campaign experience.

The cosmetics I’ve seen so far fit the art style.

Cosmetics have an in-lore manufacturer, so that’s fine.

Access to these cosmetics is limited too. Check.

The cosmetics I’ve seen are no more unbelievable than a ninja’s helmet, shoulderpads, and katana in multiplayer.

You had to purchase the campaign so it wasn’t free. So for anyone to get the hayabusa set they had to fork over $60. Womp womp.

I mean, you’re literally wrong over and over again. The reason I keep having to say it is because you keep being wrong.

Yah pretty lame, I didn’t even check how much it costs. Oh well, people are easier to see crouching behind things now.

Why do you quote so spamming like that? Truly unnecessary and makes the page way longer for bo reason.

Yah he always does that and spams the page and just continuously argues with people. When he isn’t getting butt blasted by 343 he’s in here basking in their leftover stench until they return.

I’m gonna need you to put on your critical thinking cap and see if you can intuit why I would quote more than once. Just give it a tiny bit of thought.

yo dawg, i got a halo for my halo, so i can lag while i lag.

Why do you hate Halo?

I love Halo. Bought an Xbox just to play CE. Sorry that I’m not outraged over cat ears and a halo armor effect in multiplayer.

They don’t belong in the game. Everybody that has them along with the other cringe armor is getting tbagged and messaged. And you’re getting tk’d if you aren’t carrying.

“Older halos”= can only mean halo reach as no prior halo game had fart clouds. The “and” in the sentence directly links the two, thus your statement reads: “not mutually exclusive” and is objectively wrong. For future reference, use “or” to imply ambiguity or variation. Maybe next time actually type what you mean to say???

Whatever you choose to believe, moving on.

Not quite. They can’t be earned in game and have no canonical explanation which = not successfully implemented. There are some ways in which cosmetics that don’t fit the art style can still be acceptable. This includes overall believability and access as mentioned before. Anyone who throws money at the game can get the cat ears. This means that they’re over saturated in a way that hayabusa or fotus was not.

That’s because I didn’t have to. It’s very obvious the legendary ending for halo ce has no bearing on the story/canon and isn’t offensive to the game regardless of whether it uses an established character or not. Also, the multiplayer is now a canon experience according to 343 lol.

The cosmetics I’ve seen so far don’t fit the art style. See how this could be played both ways? See aforementioned point above.

Ah so explain the cat ears then.

Hardly. The multiplayer is free and progression system purposefully stunted so as to make you inclined to buy something from the store leading to an over saturation of cosmetics. Hop in any match of halo and you’ll see someone wearing them.

Modeled after a ninja=/ninja. That’s why there was so much backlash when yoroi was first announced. Whereas hayabusa is justified in the lore and a part of mjolnir, yoroi is a literaly samurai on the battlefield.

Actually I purchased a campaign with co-op, a forge mode, a finished custom games, a finished progression system, and all on day one without microtransactions!

no u
