A Halo before Halo 5?

On this link http://www.microsoft-careers.com/job/Redmond-CREATIVE-DIRECTOR-Job-WA-98052/1733849/ says that 343i needs a creative director for a new ground breaking game, but i don’t think that will be Halo 2 anniverssary because it is a game that alredy exist so just need give some tweaks and give some better graphics, thing that just take a year to do, the probability of being a sequal to Halo Wars or another spin off is short too, so i wonder if will be a brand new game.

Not necessarily another Halo game. 343i does not need to limit themselves to the Halo Universe.

"343 Industries is looking for an experienced Creative Director to lead and deliver a groundbreaking new AAA entertainment experience set in the Halo universe. "

I glanced at this for a half second and came up with more info than you. learn to read?

I’m pretty sure it’s another Halo title. 343i was built on everything Halo.

There we go

I hope it’s Halo 2: Anniversary honestly… just because the game already existed doesn’t mean it can’t have ground-breaking new features.

But I would be open to a brand new Halo FPS too. I’ve always wanted a Halo game that was strictly competitive multiplayer with tons of maps and stuff, essentially a Unreal Tournament-type of Halo game.

Probably a MMO. This is a good thing for 343 and Halo. They really need to diversify the Halo franchise into other genres.
4x games, Mech combat, even a race game set in Halo Universe would be fun right about now.

Not yet I want a Halo mmo to but 343 should only make one after Halo 6

I can understand why people want Halo 2 Anniversary but I don’t think they’ll do it. Halo 2 is iconic because of its multiplayer, if they made an anniversary edition of Halo 2 they wouldn’t include multiplayer as they don’t want to pull players from Halo 4’s multiplayer. So people who ask for it would be disappointed.

Also, on topic, I want a sequel for Halo Wars 2, I loved that game, despite not being good at it, and would love a sequel.

In another tread, which I can’t be bothered to look for on here, someone posted a link to another add seeking a person to develop an Halo MMO. Now,it is a fact that -Yoink!- paid Blizzard about $90 million to work on a project called “Titan” back around 2007 and after three years -Yoink!- canned it allegedly because Blizzard didn’t have much to show for the cash.

Blizzard appeared in the credits of an episode on the then TV show 30 Rock and the game played during that episode was Halo.

IMO, as -Yoink!- owns 343i and has now seen it produce Halo 4, -Yoink!- must be confident and they have taken “Titan” of the shelf and its being worked on again. That is, a Halo MMO. Now, it could be an Halo Wars MMO but, I very much doubt it. I believe it will be more along the lines of Bungie’s soon to be revealed (next week) “Destiny”, the MMO for the Elder Scrolls being worked on, the Star Wars MMO which approval is being sort for and so on.

“Groundbreaking new AAA entertainment experience” does not sound like a MMO, RTS, or FPS as no new ground will be broken there. It sounds like they are going to attempt something that has not been done before, at least on a console.

I could really see it being Halo 2 Anniversary. As much as I’d really like another ODST game, a remake for Halo 2 is probably what it is.

OK,I’ll look for the other MS/343i add which was posted on this forum the past few days which actually states Halo MMO in the job heading.

If it is a Halo game, it would most likely be Halo 5. Or the director could be needed to decide what should be in the terminals in Halo 2 Anniversary.

The issue with a Halo MMO is that it’d have to still be a shooter, and I’ve yet to see a non-godawful MMO shooter.

What does AAA mean?

It must be a Halo game because it essentially said “Halo” job.

-cough-Halo wars 2-cough-

Not true actually, Halo CEA’s multiplayer sucked because it was fused with Reach’s. If Halo 4’s mutliplayer is fused with Halo 2, that’s going to piss a ton of people off. Halo 2 was known greatly for it’s multiplayer. But people will still play Halo 4, Reach and Halo 3 just like they do now. Hell people even still play Halo: PC. It won’t take anyone away from the current Halo games but if it’ll earn Halo anything, it’ll earn it it’s throne back.

I would love to see Gunny Buck return with his rag tag crew in something new. However I still have a place in my heart for Halo 2 as well. Both would be welcomed in my book.
