A Halo 4 playlist suggestion. (Title Changed)

Now that I have your attention (it is a shame that I had to use THAT to get your attention, but that is what the forums have come to these days.

I don’t actually believe the title, but it got your attention.

PLAYLIST IDEA:

Make DMR and Boltshot on map weapons.

Take out ordinance drops, or change the to static drops.

Make better maps via forge and place weapons on existing maps.

Powerweapons spawn on map. Very strong power weapons rotate.

As an example, Rockets spawn long hall (the pit). Once rockets are gone, binary rifle and incineary canon have a chance to drop in (not at the same time, but in the same spot.)

Snipers will rotate as well. So under sniper tower, once one sniper is used up, and beam rifle will drop.

In sword room, sword and grav hammer alternate. Bolt shots spawn where powerdrain used to.

In Shotgun room, shotgun and scattershot alternate. In camo, there will be a 50 percent chance of camo if there is no camo powerup, an armor ability may be place with camo taken out of loadout , and 50 percent chance of speed boost.

In oversheild, there will be a 50 percent chance of oversheild, or damage boost.

Other maps will have other weapons such as needler and saw as alternate drops.

Loadouts will consist of:

Primary: Carbine-Br-LR-(Automatics)
Secondary: Plasma Pistol, Magnum
Perks: (All perks allowed, but picking up nades is standard but does not take up a slot.)
AA: Hardlight, Jetpack (maybe, preferably map pickup instead), thruster, hologram, and PV (maybe, see jetpack).

These are my thoughts and opinons for a fun balanced gametype. I used the pit as an example because most people know the basic layout of the map.

DMRs would spawn where carbine usually spawns.

Sorry for clustered, incredibly hard to read writing and no TL;DR. If anyone cares to add to this, or to clean this up, that’d be great.

No one has any idea for a balanced playlist?

Guys, how is it that a complaint thread will survive endlessly, when there is 1 thousand of them, but a thread suggesting fixes for the game in a seperate playlists in a calm respectful manner can’t get one single reply?

Because most people don’t like reading a bunch of text. Give me a minute and i’ll read through the OP and give you feedback.

I agree that would be better than what we have now. Okay it would be 5 billion times better than what we have now.

However I’d rather see all of the AA’s as drops on the map, Jet pack, AC, PV, and HS as drops on the map. In addition just BR/AR or AR/Magnum Starts w/ 2 Frags and No AA’s be the starting loadout and nothing else.

its ok but the MLG playlist looks much better.

Or… You could just adapt to how the game is played.

This

sounds good OP but it wont ever happen.

besides DMR has the same kill time as the H2 Br, dont believe me? go time it yourself. and boltshot stop AR noobs and the endless stream of CQB powerweapons

H4 is fine as is. Only needs a visible 1-50

> Or… You could just adapt to how the game is played.

because I want to play a balanced fun Halo game with other people? Which Halo 4 in it’s current state clearly does not provide.
with the latest graphics?
and new weapons?

Posts like this make no sense.

> Or… You could just adapt to how the game is played.

you do realize that adapting to a game actually goes both ways right?

the more and more you play the game the more and more apparent the flaws are, people said the EXACT same thing about GOW3 and 6 months later I despised it, oh I certainly adapted alright.

> Or… You could just adapt to how the game is played.

Thanks but no thanks. I’m all for adoption, but I hate mindless slaughtering. Halo 4 is easy, I’m a person who needs challenge to stay remotely entertained, so this works for me.

For those saying “MLG Playlist”, yes, I realise MLG is coming out with a playlist soon, and I’ll be playing the heck out of that, however I’d like a compromise in between so that we still have new additions, but with fair balanced gameplay. Hence my suggestion.

BETTER IDEA!: How about you just stop playing Halo. That way everyone is happier, and Halo’s a better place! Win, win.

Either way, the DMR makes all other starters redundant, and would be much better as a map pickup. As for AR “noobs”, there are better ways to counteract it than letting everyone spawn with a tier 2 powerweapon as a sidearm.

Agreed on the 1-50

I’ve been here for months, sifting through post after post. 99% of my posts are constructive, on topic, and detailed. I try to make things as fitting and fun for everyone as I possibly can.

But the moment I make a suggestion for a playlists that NOONE WILL BE FORCING YOU TO PLAY AND WILL NOT AFFECT THE REST OF THE GAME people like you come around and tell me that my opinion is wrong and that looking to a more balanced style of gameplay means I should leave Halo.

I don’t ask you to like what I like, noone would force you to play the playlist. You may be content with the game, but that doesn’t mean I am. And it isn’t just me, there are tons of dissatisfied people.

So no, I won’t leave, now quit being an -Yoink-.

Thats actually a bad idea on multiple levels. Complaining is what made halo 3 a more well rounded game unlike halo 2’s uber competitive try hardness all the time. 343i needs to be criticized so they can appeal to all players, casual and competitive. There were people complaining about bungie too, so they changed some things in halo 3, and it was a great game for casuals and competitives. Sorry if I came across as a jerk, just trying to show you how people like this help future games.

Wow - bumping your thread multiple times and renaming it again and again reeks of desperation.

On topic - If I want to play Reach or Halo 3 I’ll just pop in the Reach or Halo 3 disc - imagine that! But right now I feel like playing Halo 4 so no thanks.

Renamed it once, simply because after having been here for months I’ve learned those with normal titles will be overlooked for complain threads. As for the bumps, I’ve done that with regular, more constructive posts. It’s not desperation, it’s trying to get people to notice a half decent constructive detailed post.

And yet another of you.

That’s alright if you like the game, but I don’t. Seeing as how you didn’t read the OP, I’m meaning classic style gameplay, but still using ordinance and adding it’s own variation to static spawns and loadouts.

In my opinion, they should be appeasing both crowds. I know I’m not alone (I will not speak for other people however) in the fact that I don’t like this game, and would like a more competitive, less random and mindless variant to be added.

This seems liek a perfectly reasonable option, maybe not one everyone would take to, but for those who aren’t content but still like the new additions, this seems like a better compromise.

Sorry if you don’t like it, but like I stated multiple times in multiple posts, not everyone will like it, just like not everyone likes Halo 4.

I want to use the new additions, but I don’t want to play mindless slaughterfest luls the whole time.

EDIT: Also, hello redneckhockey, it’s been awhile.

I agree with you op, and I actually feel bad cause I saw this post before you bumped it and never responded. But I do agree and I suggest you ignore all these defenders. They aren’t contributing any ideas to improve this obviously flawed game.
