Okay, I was thinking there should be a playlist where it’s Spartans Vs. Elites. But, each player only has one life until a new round. You could do different stuff like Invasion, protect the Generator, and slayer. Also, you don’t have any Armor effects because this is supposed to be real-life Halo. You could even have a huge Battle where it’s Spartans Vs. Elites. If you survive long enough, there could be reinforcements like weapons and another respawn. You would have to play strategically so that you don’t die. And, if it’s possible, you could come in from a Pelican or Phantom. And, maybe you could get an Air-strike reinforcement. Also, if you were an ELite, you automatically get assigned armor and weapons according to your rank. If you were a Spartan, you could automatically get assigned a job based on your different skills. By job I mean like, Sniper, Medic, Aussault and so on.
So, that’s just an idea I had that I thought would be fun. I really wish they had this because I think it would be great. Maybe there could be a version of it where there’s reinforcements every 7 or so minutes. At the reinforcements, the dead players could re-spawn inside their base and maybe there would be a place to stock up on weapons that only re-spawn when reinforcements arrive. And, the battle could go on for a while too. Maybe like 30+ minutes. And, maybe instead of getting assigned to what your current rank is, you have to rank up in this playlist. Kind of like Arena. And, if it was possible, you could have more than 8 people per team. Maybe you could even have individual squads.
Anyways, sorry for that extensive amount of reading. I just though I’d share my idea. I think it would be an awesome playlist
That was an idea I had for Halo: Reach but, maybe it could be put in Halo 4? And maybe since their are no Elites in Halo 4 multiplayer, it could be the same thing except red vs. blue.
I like it but it won’t happen with elites since no elites, but this could be done, (for the slayer part of it anyway) with current custom game options & forge if one tries hard enough. Good idea.
Thanks! And, I don’t know if you read the last line but, it said:

What do other people think of this?
It would be too campy and long range-y. Its basically search and destroy.
> Also, you don’t have any Armor effects because this is supposed to be real-life Halo.
Some problems I see with this. I doubt 343i would design a game-type that would purposefully force your armor effect to be null just to have it “more realistic.” And why assign us to armor and loadouts? We chose our armor for a reason, so why take it away from us? I don’t really like the “air-strike” idea too much either…maybe if we used the Target Locator? Also, would a round/wave end once all the players on one team have been eliminated?
You’ve got an idea that definitely has potential, but I feel revisions should be made such as:
-The ones I’ve suggested above
-Time limit set to 12-15 minutes with 3 minutes per round/wave
-Allow players to choose their loadouts because they know what their play-style is like
Everything else seems fine to me.
Sounds like SND in Call of Duty, it would be too slow I think, and people would just camp. But, we should just be happy to have a Halo 4.

By airstrike I meant the target locator. Sorry, I should’ve said. And yes, the round/wave would end if an entire team is eliminated. Otherwise, some players would just be sitting there waiting. About the armore effects, I just didn’t want them because I want a realistic playtype. I guess you could probably have sprint and/or evade since I’m sure actuall Spartans could do that. About assigning loadouts, I just wanted that to match your skill and job you would have in the game. Those could probably be removed though. I also agree that the rounds and game should be shorter.
Anyways, thanks for the suggestions!

Well, I get your desire for a bit more realism, but I’m not really seeing any other great benefit to it. It would probably upset some people and I’m not sure if 343i really has that much control over a player’s appearance. I don’t really think Armor Effects are even returning for Halo 4 (at least from some of the latest footage I’ve seen), but it’s not the final product so…yeah.

Oops, sorry. I meant to say armor abilities in that last post.

Sorry again I meant to quote that post above this one(The one I’m writing right now) when I said: “Oops, sorry. I meant to say armor abilities in that last post.”
I don’t know how to delete that other post.

Why no AAs? I’d say this would be one of those game-types where AAs could work.

Well, when I was thinking about this, I was thinking about realism a lot. And I guess I wasn’t thinking about it very much because AA’s are real in the Halo universe, hahaha. But, since it seems like 343 are going to be utilizing AA’s a lot, they could be in there.
