A Good Way to Fix Loadouts

Loadouts have been on peoples mind for a while, while some hate them others seem to enjoy them a lot. While some (including me) would rather just see them go i think they’re probobly around to stay. Ive been delving into some solutions and this is what ive come up with with the help of the community.

Step 1: Make only 1 SIMPLE loadout

Gow is another arena shooter like halo is. Like halo 4, gow3 introduced their own version of the loadout system which caught on with great success. What was so good about it? it was simple. You only chose between two weapons and a grenade.

I feel that it would be good just to give us a choice between the AR and the BR (and maybe the ODST SMG if 343i decide that would be a good idea) as a primary weapon. We would have the pistol as our secondary weapon. Then instead of being able to choose grenades we would choose an AA.

Step 2: No Alien Weapons

Both the covie and promethean weapons are cool, but some of them dont need to be in starting loadouts. The plasma pistol, bolt shot, and the other types of grenades should not be starting weapons and are constantly pushed on the forum to be removed. Plus if we didnt spawn with the suppressor, carbine, light rifle, etc. we would have much more map diversity.

Step 3: Cater to Loadouts 2nd

Another good idea someone came up with was a sort of loadout and nonloadout playlist. One would cater to the non-loadout playlists while sthe other would have customizable loadouts.

Human or not, the blame for this largely falls to the DMR.

Also, proposing different rules to Social and Ranked differentiates them pretty severely and I disagree with that idea.

I agree also makeing AA’s come in ordinance and making you have to restart your climb up to ordinance in all modes would be a good idea because as it is now theres not negatives for not staying alive besides your not getting a spree they bascially jsut give you ordinance it should be more of a reward for actully doing really good ive had 5 in 15 games getting obliterated and i was still able to get ordinance there needs to be Risk without risk the reward is kind of looked upon. Like in COD you can get your little reward but its going to be a challange in H4 there practically just giving it to you. haveing the ordinance gauge reset after death unless the player has full ordinance would strengthen gameplay.

i prefer my fix better:

step 1) remove all loadouts, ordinance, perks, sprint, AA’s etc. from halo

step 2) if you still want all of that unbalanced crap, play cod their system works better anyway

i forgot AA’s and sprint too

I’d just prefer load outs be removed completely in favor of starting weapons being determined by the game type (Slayer with BR/DMR/AR starts for example) and place all other weapons on the map as pick ups.

They just need to combine Team Slayer Pro with maps that actually have weapons on the map.

Slayer Pro on Shutout would be pretty cool.

Personally, There should just be one custom loadout instead of 5 of them. I rarely ever use the other 4.
