Today, I’ve come with a special message. On the Saturday of April 14th, 2018, I completed the standard REQ pool!
So what does this mean for you? You see, I have these 3 Platinum packs lying around from the HWC stream (could only stay up till MIKWENNING, had to go to sleep). So, I’ve decided to give them away to the newer among us!
Here are the rules:
- You have to give me your absolute best armor combo! You can use everything from the standard REQ pool (normal packs) and the Classic Helmets. Don’t use Achilles, Challenger, or Champion in your suggested combo. - Please clarify if you don’t need the packs. The packs shall only be given to those who really need them. - If you see an armor combo already suggested, please don’t suggest it again.EDIT: THE RULES HAVE BEEN CHANGED, AGAIN!
In light of recent developments, debt, and a volunteer, the winning structure has been changed to become more horizontal. There are now 6 winners, 5 getting two packs and the 6th placer getting one pack. One position has already been guaranteed, so the other 5 best combos are now getting Platinum packs. There are 11 packs now in total, courtesy of EMPEROR NOVA01! This wouldn’t have been possible without their help!

I’m personally a pretty big fan of Seeker x Tracer combos tbh.
Dynast Lilioc (Armor) + Helioskrill (Helmet) would make a cool combo, just make sure that your spartan is a female for maximum

By the way, when you’re looking for a set of armor to use with a different helmet, try to pay close attention to the details of the armor piece to see whether it has similar details to the helmet that you want to put on your spartan. I think it’s a creative way of matching different armor / helmet pieces together. It also make your spartan look more appealing, too.
Also, I couldn’t watch the stream yesterday because of my crappy wifi, so I missed out on getting platinum REQs. (Not to mention that I barely have anything unlocked, I’m still working on getting everything from Silver Pack)
EDIT: Congratulations on the completion of your REQ collection! I’m curious to know how long it took you to unlock all of the standard REQs.

Ah. I finished my collection at SR 135 with the FOTUS Synchronize and the Hunter helmets. Take off some SR for your completion date though, because I spammed gold packs in my early days before I knew about the silver pack thing.

1: I would go with Stalker Arrow armor, Tracker Helmet, and Regnum Visor. All match visually as well as description wise for the thrill of the hunt!

Thank you! I thought so myself haha. I run the color scheme as pepper primary and then aubergine as secondary. It looks really nice lol
Security (armor) with Warrior (helmet).
I already have a full collection and do not need or want packs so don’t consider me for that . But.
Then best armor combo is warmaster with recon helmet.
Mark 6 with recruit charred helmet, midnight VISR, pepper and pepper colours, with the brutalist stance.
Jumpmaster sky soldier with goblin helmet, blindside VISR, cerulean and vermilion colours, with the center mass or weapons free stance.
Valkyrie eir with aviator helmet, regnum VISR, Moss and blue steel colours, with the last stand stance.
I need the packs.
The scout set also looks good, with beltane VISR, celeste and gunmetal colours, with the grim resolve stance.

I’ve always thought CQB GEN 1 and Dyinast armor could work well together. A blend of old and new, but similar ideas nonetheless. Again, something I have not tried.

As you can see, I prefer the full sets of armor as opposed to mix n match. Mostly because 343 made mix and match incredibly difficult. I miss having one large pauldron on my shoulder, the one holding the foregrip area of a weapon, and a smaller one on the other shoulder.

I would wear Mark VI Scarred more often if there wasn’t such a massive bandwagon surrounding it. It’s lost a lot of its personality because of players fresh off the MCC immediately popping it on.

A just wanted to give OP props here as well.
Halo 5 is especially tough for new players to dive into. One mode that, on paper at least, is very appealing to new players is warzone. However they very quickly learn this gamemode is very tough without a decent req collection.
I hope whoever ever wins these packs gets to unlock a h2 br, tac/extended mag/ phaeton. Whatever. Something good.
I opened all my packs because i wanted the legendary boosts to help one day hit 152, I think OP has a much better idea here.

I’m gonna go with the CIO helmet and Recluse Seri armor. Doesn’t hurt to have the Ecto visor on too. Its sort of a Splinter Cell-ish stealth operative kinda look and I love it
