As a part Warzone maybe?
Playable grunts ? Odd job from Goldeneye or that monkey from Timesplitters come to mind. I can just imagine it right now lol. It would be quite fun for customs, but they could be really frustrating in match making imo. However it would be really funny if you were the grunt and you could be as evasive as Odd Job was in Goldeneye, rofl, good memories come to mind.

Sounds more like an Invasion mode with multiple races instead of just S3 and Elites. Personally I would love it if all Halo races and human classes were playable. Especially Roosterteeth would have a lot of fun with it! The Hunter and the Grunt!

I was always Elvis the classic grey alien in Perfect Dark. He doesn’t even need to crouch to enter into ventilation holes!^^
I really should get PD HD one of this days, but my 360 is long dead and I don’t have patience to repair it. Again. For the third time… 4 times if I count the MS repair when it still was under warranty.
Now this kinda reminds me of the hunt mode from the classic battlefront games, maybe we could have a mode where you start as a grunt or a marine, but as you start to rearn points by getting kills or something you can upgrade and become a Spartan or Elite, and eventually Hunters and something to match them, maybe even have a gamemode where you can even play as the flood, like an infecion style mode but you get to chose what flood form you want, i could carry on for ages
Lets get playable elites back 1st. Would be cool to see all those playable in customs tho.

Lol, forgot about Elvis, good memories. Perfect Dark is a Rare title, and owned by Microsoft, it would be fun for these characters to get the odd cameo here and there, maybe in time gated events.
Well, maybe, if the game is otherwise finished and tested properly. Those could be just a little extra.
Though I would prefer having elites first. So maybe such playable species would be best on some spin-off game.
I’d like to see more Soldiers like we did on Reach and Halo 4. Some Army and Airforce SF. We mainly see marines because they are expeditionary. Id like to see some large scale battles and invasions.
I feel like this would be more of a class based game mode which could work but maybe in a spin off
