I hope for a game beyond Halo 4 that doesn’t focus on Spartans or Special Forces in the Halo universe. I would love for a game that would put you in the shoes of an ordinary marine on the front line. Large scale battles in wide, open maps with more vehicles. You can fight elites, other humans or even new enemies. There should also be more weapons you could choose from each with their own strong points, and maybe even be customizable (who cares if CoD allows you to customize your weapons), and possibly make it a darker and more realistic game.
Sure there would be a few things that need to be modified like:
Shields which could become armor, once your armor is damaged you can either repair it by finding repair kits, or risk being an easy kill.
Movement which would probably be slower, but would give an excuse to add sprint as a built in feature.
Hud can remain the same since most marines have that small visor like in halo reach/ CEA.
Guns and vehicles There would have to be a larger selection of these, such as multiple smgs, assault rifles, carbines, marksman rifles, snipers, explosives, lmgs etc. And vehicles the focus on transportation as well as assault vehicles. It would give 343 a chance to expand on the vehicles and guns in halo.
I feel this game would give us a new look on those puny, pathetic want-to-be spartans we always laughed at and show us the dark and gritty battles they fight. It would make an amazing game. Maybe it could be called Halo frontlines. What do you guys think?
