I think they should make a giant game that is based on the halo universe, as in you can go to the jackal’s planet, or the home of the brutes, or the world’s that have been over run with the flood. I think it could put the whole story down into a game instead of books
discuss, Could it be possible? and if so how would it be?

yea that would be fantastic, my question is would it be a free roam or mission based? I think it should be free roam
So, instead of the fun and exciting activity of reading, you want to do the lazy thing and put it in a game, so that everyone can skip the cut scenes?

Oh don’t get me wrong I love to read, I am just saying if it could be converted into a game how would it be.

The thing is, Spartan’s wouldn’t show up for most of the game, and I can’t imagine a more disorienting video game than jumping from invincible Jiralhanae to weakling San’Shyum every couple of levels.

I got ya, but what if let’s say you start off as a UNSC soldier regular nothing important and you are stranded on a flood/covenant covered world and you have to find some way off, but the construct of the game you can visit every major planet, and some where along the lines you become a spartan, just an idea I thought it was interesting and I wanted to see what others thought.
That would be pretty insane, like a game encyclopedia, or something?

kind of but it would give the entire story a more defined look if you were enveloped into it. Like lets say that a brute chieftain has to prove himself by doing a certain amount of missions, then it switches to another race like the jackals but you will be able to play multiple races, and multiple planets to explore, but at the same time you will be able to experience the Halo universe. The game could probably be like 3 or 4 discs long and each disk is a different race and the last one could be the final war or a major conflict that needs to be absolved
So…A Halo Mass Effect?
I could go for that. A Halo-based RPG could be extremely fun, but it would have to be post-war. That’s the only viable way to include it in the canon.

yea kind of except on mass effect you can’t land on every planet, I think that if you give the option to land on a planet and be able to explore a pretty big area of it, not the whole thing cause of course that would take forever. As you progress in the game and you get on to the second disk you can play the covenant then the third you can play as a brute champion trying to prove that he and his people have the strength to fight with the covenant so on and so forth something like that ya know.

I think that would be awesome if the did games based off the the Halo Evolution Books.
Halo 3 took place with Cortanan so that one doesn’t count O.o! almost forgot about that.
I want more Halo Wars. I hate that Microsoft killed Ensemble after they made a great game.

I would prefer mission based. Free roam if implemented well enough, could be amazing.
