A Fun Game underneath a few issues.

The game seems to be quite fun, but a few things are certainly holding it back at this stage. Primarily for me, it would be the Motion Tracker distance and the audio regarding footsteps and sprinting.

For the motion tracker, it essentially feels useless. By the time the enemy show up on the tracker they’re either in my face or up my -Yoink-. The distance it covers should be a bit further than it is currently, I feel, which leads into the second issue for me.

Audio. Specifically in regards to actually hearing an enemy Spartan’s footsteps or sprinting. It is basically nonexistent. Spartans are not featherweights and the fact that someone can practically run up behind you and with everything going on from explosions and gunfire, to your A.I. chirping away and the announcer talking you can’t hear them. I personally feel this is a massive issue. I suggest the movement sounds should be louder and more impactful.

Outside of these two points my only other minor gripe is that I can’t see my body when I look down. It’s been in every Halo, barring Halo Wars, for 20 years and it lessens the immersion by simply not being able to see my legs.

I hope people agree with me and 343 change these few points. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to test the first new Halo game in six years, thank you for the invite.
