Is it just me, or should Specializations in Halo 4 be rewarded to a specialization? Hear me out.

The Wetwork specialization is basically an assassin, so why not reward that specialization by completing the assassin commendation, rather than unlocking the venator armor? that way, it is a real specialization the player takes on and shows the spartan’s improvement of skill in that field.

I just figured this makes more sense story wise than just going to level 50 by blasting people away with mounted guns and tanks, then being trusted with sensitive assassination ops with secrecy that they in reality would not be able to handle.

True, you can use the operator specialization to fill in the roll of vehicle expert, but because you need all the specializations to continue leveling up, you wont stay on it for very long, if at all, until of course you hit the utmost level cap you can reach.

just figured it should be said, at least in my opinion. What are your thoughts?

Interesting thought. You’ll always have boosters though. Some players now go out of their way to complete certain commendations to unlock and armor (Namely assassin/backstab for Venator and Splatters for Verdant Visor), so in your case, perhaps the first specialization that is unlocked by a player fits to their play style but the ones after that will be just boosted to unlock so the player can start another one.

All in all though, I like your idea. It makes it more personal and more rewarding. I still think players should wait until 50 to pick one, but they would have to complete a commendation to unlock it like you said. How do you feel about 343 locking the six of the specialization?
