343i, why are you letting the bad guys win?
So my friend Dante was very passive about the whole farming issues of Halo 5. He just said leave the game and moved on. I hate leaving and never did. Id’ rather make those -Yoinks!- fight for their pitiful Achilles armor then let them grind low level trash. Most of the time those farmers where rarely worth any praise of being killed but whatever, I atleast made them work for it.
Sadly my friend had gotten banned before for refusing to be apart of a farming simulator while the thought of that made me lose it and I came here to vent my frustration out and got temp banned. It happened again and I got perma banned for what I assume was my hyper aggression. I’m calmer now and stil laware of forum rules and not expecting to be around very long. Of course my friend didn’t take to kindly to be acting so brash and yada yada yada, he supported 343i and I don’t and we’re here now.
Well, ever since WZFF has come out and the free to play thing went up it seems like the farmers have come back in droves to pluck some fresh veggies and all they got was my nuts in their mouths. “How do you like those veggies?” Literally ever game we’ve played of warzone since FF has come has out has been nothing but farmers. Either they’d be on our team and we’d be forced to throw out a mercy kill Kudos to those people who stayed to fight or I’d watch my friend turn tail as me and a handful of guys reenact The Battle of Hoth. But my friend would still rather leave and today, about an hour or so ago, he got what I assume was a perma ban.
He said he got banned, seemed shocked at what it was and just went offline saying “Welp I guess I’m not playing Halo 5 anymore.” I sent him a text and he didn’t give anything specific he just seemed a bit hurt by it.
The worse thing about this is I noticed that I and 3 other people we’re the only players on my team.
How many other people have been -Yoink- on by Warzone farmers and 343i’s reluctance to punish them. Has 343i really done nothing over these past months to stop farmers? Has no one been punished? Things like this have happened in past Halo’s and other games before but those who did it always got bitten back in someway but this isn’t right. 343i treats these people like a terrible parent tries to discipline their child. Instead of actually doing anything significant the kid just screams “SHUT UP MOM!” and 343i obeys.
I hate 343i for all of their stupid decisions like the MCC but this was a person who actually enjoyed playing their vision of Halo and he got burned. While I certainly didn’t take so much out of it as he did, I had fun playing a moderately good game with my friends.
Why punish the good guys for the bad ones mistakes? Is 343i so worried about those -Yoink!- monthly numbers, which is obviously a business move to make themselves look good because the Halo Reach and 4 we’re -Yoink-! That’s the bar their comparing themselves to, -Yoink-! So Halo 4 and Reach we’re your fertilizer 343i congrats. You’ve finally shown that you’re mildly competent since you updated Reach.
The idea that they’d even praise those numbers clearly shows that’s more important to them. 343i has no humans working there, just monsters of greed. They’ll use nostalgia, faith and fools like my friend to feed that greed. They’ll certainly do anything to keep that greed satisfied as shown by how they’ve not even attempted to implement Elites into Halo 5 after it being the most backed update by the community for four years. There have been about a thousands ways to add and balance them but why work hard when you can just ignore people and pretend you didn’t see that.
Do people on this site really not care that people are getting banned because of farmers? Will everyone just scream git gud, say that he deserves the ban for leaving or just fling some other kind of -Yoink- and forget this has ever happened? I want to believe other humans play Halo and not just the mindless thralls of 343i.

There has to be some kind of limit. Instead of letting this kind of stuff happen, why don’t people just stop the source. This kind of activity started from somewhere, cut off the stream. Just give out the Achilles armor to stop this madness.

Farming isn’t brand new to Halo… People love to pad their stats any chance they get.
People playing CTF, but making no attempt to actually capture. Just going for kills. Apply that to any game mode (as is the case) and its essentially the same thing. Stat padding.
With WZ, we now just have people stat padding with the goal of getting a unique armor.
why do people think every farmer is an Achilles farmer? People farm for other things like stats k/d or just for kills. And ofc its not 343 or the players fault. Its been like this in other halo games m8. Its like this in other fps games even. You should calm down.
I am a solo gamer and I am rarely “farmed”… other must have dismal luck in match making or (more likely) they are claiming farming when farming didn’t actually happen.

Creating second accounts is against the rules, so I think you’ll probably get permanently banned again.
The banhammer is ridiculously strict. Like a bad school principal breathing down everyone’s necks making sure they have fun “the right way”
The moderators are deleting negative comments about this obvious flaw faster than Sony is yanking negative Ghostbuster comments. And posting in the ban thread does Jack & -Yoink-, and Jack just left town.

Agreed, but just because we can potentially say that “It has always been that way” doesn’t mean it is not inappropriate. History is littered with some very unfortunate examples of that rationale.

I love your army of darkness reference but the banhammer is fine
Farming in Halo isn’t anything new. People who do it in WZ are just try hard bad kids that have to beat the heck out of lesser skilled players to make themselves think they’re good at the game. Same goes for Smurfers. Both groups are just trash in my eyes. If you were actually good at this game, you could get a lot more kills in the same amount of time playing other game types BUT like I said, they’re trash and have to face lesser skilled players to get those kills. It’s funny now because 343i changed the bosses in WZ, the farmers don’t even go for certain bosses because they’re too hard to kill quickly like the Mech grunt and the buffed knights.
343i isn’t really to blame here. The community is. Padding stats in regular games is one thing because games don’t last as long as WZ games can be dragged out. These players are okay with forcing people into their own spawn for 10-15 minutes are…-Yoink!- plain and simple. 343i should have a mercy rule in place. If you get kept in the home base for 5+ minutes with no contesting of any other base or have the team be 500+ points above the other team…end the game. I would rather have the forced loss than have my time wasted.

Moderators don’t delete comments. The ban thread was created so that ban complaints don’t clutter this forum.
