a fix for warzone boss steals

Adding another bar under his health it would be a balance bar for which team is doing the most damage and it would be a <Red/Blue > the bar fills with the most team shooting the boss. So typically like all warzones go as of right now If the Blue team is shooting the boss and a random red guy just takes the last shot. it goes to the red guy. WTF! Make my idea happen the game needs it

Agreed, there needs to be some sort of way, completely unfair when your team does all the damage, then othe other team comes and gets the final shot and wins. GRRRR

The best idea we had so far imo is just removing the health bar

Yea, I dont know about the balance bar. What happens if your team gets wiped out but you took 25% of the health. Sure the other team comes in and cleans it up, but I dont htink you deserve it if you got wiped out.

I like the idea of no health bar, but it still wont stop people who just joined in to get the final shot.

I reallhy wouldnt mind damage points being rewarded, and maybe an extra bonus to whoever finishes them off. So if a boss is worth 150- have 100 points be damage tha could go to people and the last 50 be the bonus. WITH NO HEALTH BAR

There’s nothing to fix, the boss kills are working as intended.

I’m sure you are 100% correct. But I can almost say with certainty that people will quickly tire of getting beat by 400 or more points 75% of the matches.

Nope because yeah it sucks to have them stolen but it’s super sweet and satisfying to steal them

I know, the system works perfectly fine for me, but what most of people are arguing is the death blow. By removing the health bar, you can’t just sit and snipe and get the final 150 points reward.

This wouldn’t work. After a team deals 51% damage they basically don’t have to worry about the boss any more because they’ll get the points regardless. It takes away the pressure of downing the boss.

Just to be clear, I’m a lone wolf player and my Warzone games tend to end up with me on the losing team 1000 to 200 because the other team gets all the boss kills. I think the current system is fine, though. It’s all about coordinating burst damage to get the boss killed.

No

No It adds objective to wanting to kill the boss. When I’m playing I notice my team don’t even go for the bosses because they probably know the other team will get the final shot and say it’ll say: ‘‘Enemy eliminated the [insert boss name here]’’ I’m sure this would be balanced, and would require testing. As to others I never said remove the health bar add a Balance Tug of war type of bar under it. 51% boss then leave no because both teams would thrive to that boss spawn. Sometimes you’ll notice the group that’s killing the boss only to be losing all their bases under their nose.
Also bosses should spawn in random locations. But then again My ideas always get shot down Carry on with the same frustrations. Having the 343 pro team testing stuff out is not enough take the aiming for example.

They said it on the stream

“Boss Kills are working as intended, it is your responsibility to make sure enemies are not hiding around waiting for the steal”

Watch the last stream, there done now stop crying.

That’s the point of Warzone, to coordinate with your team on multiple fronts. If the other team steals your boss kill, you didn’t fend off the enemy Spartans enough to kill the boss. It’s the added layer of strategy. It’s fine the way it is.

Honestly I had an issue with this as well during the first two weeks, but it is up to your team to be aware of threats around you, not just all gather in one spot, tunnel-visioned and spamming the boss. Most the time in boss battles, I’m on the periphery shooting the other team so said stealing can’t occur. I’ve noticed others on my team in more and more games now also doing the same thing, so people are starting to catch on and use their brains.

I think bosses should be in more confined spaces especially the big ones. It’s not to say you can’t snipe it’s just not right that you can have control of the majority of the territory around the boss but being to visible from too many possibilities isn’t right.

Every time I’ve gotten a kill on a big boss it always feels like luck

but then there is the possibility of some one else getting the kill and it glitching me the kill when I did nothing

Out of all the presented ideas, this one is indeed a pretty good idea to remove the health bar. It still needs to be improved beyond that.

Yes the boss points are my ONLY complaint with warzone. Warzone is by far one of THE best mp modes to ever come to the Halo franchise.

I love Warzone. My ONLY complaint is that the boss battles should go by damage points = team points.

The boss has 150 points.
Team A does 120 points of damage and team A gets 120 points added to the score.
Team B does 30 points of damage and team B gets 30 points added to the score.

This last second kill stealing shot on a boss is ridiculous. Again it is my only complaint with Warzone. 343 listens very well to the community so I am sure this is something they can dial in over time.

Another alternative is for the boss to have 2 health bars (one for red team and one for blue) your team has to take the bosses full health to kill him and so does the other team and with red and blue health bars it would be easy to read who is leading

This is still being argued about? ITs fine the way it is. If you got the boss stolen, your teamw asnt being careful enough. I always say aim for the enemy that’s trying to kill the boss and when theyre all dead kill the boss. Bring tanks, wraiths, lasers, inc cannons its not hard to confirm a boss kill stop being all whiney cause you got your boss kill stolen. Its not hard to confirm it stop trying to ruin the game.

No - because to get the points, you have to kill it right.
If you stop at 51%, your team still won’t earn anything.
On the other hand, the team who made 49% or less damage now kinda has the objective to protect the boss, so team-51% won’t be able to get the points.

I like this idea. At least I’d like to see it tested (:

I think the balance bar should re-align to the center after a certain amount of time where no damage is inflicted so that if the other team does their part to sway the balance bar all the way in their favor and leave, it slowly goes back neutral.
