No. Please don’t do this again. This would just take away my hope that they would add it down the road. I hated Helioskrill for this reason, it felt like a slap in the face to me because I absolutely loved playing as elites and 343 was basically saying “ok, here you can pretend to be an elite! You can pretend to be an elite in a video game that isn’t real anyways!” I hope they never add them as Spartan options because that would just feel more insulting.
Helioskrill is my favorite Halo 5 armor mainly because it sorta feels like playing as an Elite to me, so I hope it’s in Infinite
I think an alternative to just having armor “inspired by” elites would be trophy armor. Like where you can tell a spartan attached Elite shoulder pads to their armor that was taken from an elite like a trophy.
Like how WWII tanks would attach pieces of enemy wreckage to their tanks as trophies.
No. Bring the elites back. No excuses. Scale the size and posture so they have the same hitboxes as Spartans. Then reintroduce Invasion or a true Spartans vs Elites BTB2.

I love Helioskrill and Hayabusa armor but it’s just not the same. Playable Elites or bust. I’m just holding out hope that playable elites have only been temporarily shelved to focus those resources on something important like properly implementing the Flood.
They should make a whole game for playable elites. Make an arbiter game or something if they aren’t going to bring them back. Not even in custom games? Custom games most be have a lot of features if they couldn’t add playable elites or maybe AI forge. Also infinite is a “master chief story” game so… Spartans.
I would be in 100% support of a game where you play as an Elite during a pretty well known phase of the lore. Put us in the shoes of the Arbiter during the grunt rebellion. That could be awesome.
