There are a few projects I made a while back that I never got to spread around the community. So, here they are for you to enjoy/loathe all you want.
This Halo 3 machinima is definitely not the best. Really… It’s god awful. And that’s the whole point. Filled with hammy dialog, plot points the size of whales, and a cliched gruff sergeant, The Land of Tears started out as a very serious action/drama written by an unnamed novice writer, and eventually, many years later, I discovered the script and made it (with a friend) while paying respect to the original writer’s vision. That meant keeping all of the hilarious horrible-ness intact and playing the movie as a straight action/drama like it was meant ti be. It’s a lot of mindless fun and, if I needed to say it again, very bad.
Made for a machinima contest, The Affair is a short Reach machinima about a married woman’s affair (what are the odds?) with an unusual friend. It’s part comedy with some nice dramatic bits and is told in the style of a black & white silent film. Start up the piano soundtrack!
War (or War): Issues #1-#20
War (or War): Issue #21
War (or War) is a dialog-heavy comedy that was originally planned as a machinima but was turned into a screenshot comic when casting for voice actors fell short. Taking place over twenty-one issues, War (or War) tells the stories of various groups of mad characters and their predicaments during said war (or lack of it). The final issue (#21) is presented as a short machinima piece that wraps up the series. In retrospect it, unfortunately, doesn’t seem to work in conjunction with the comics, but I would like to see what everyone else thinks on that.
