A fictional question for a 'true' Halo fan.

Imagine:

You find accidentally (on one of Microsofts or 343s websides) a full list of all new enemys, vehicles, weapons, characters and maps of Halo 4; including the whole script for the storyline.

The webside is very hard to find, but indeed it is a huge leak.

What would you do???

A) You copy the side, you make mirrors of it and try to link it everywhere.
You want that everyone else knows everything over Halo 4.
You think: A true Halo fan has to share his knowledge with all other Halo fans - the fans are the base of Halo.
All power to the fans - all knowledge to the fans!

B) You write 343 and Microsoft a mail and tell them about the leak. You don’t want that everyone else find this leaked stuff.
You think: A true Halo fan has to defend the epic feeling of playing a new Halo-Game the first time - and that would be ruined if everyone knows everything.
Spoilers are Mines - and noone can dodge them all!

… sure there are a lot of ways between A and B, that’s why here is no poll.

So: what would you do? And why?

Oh, so you worry about their experience being ruined, but not my own?
I’ll have to take months of therapy to unsee everything.

B.

Because that is just to many spoilers, and I’m not a huge fan of leaks. I think gamers
should only know information about a game if the developers want to tell.

I would blackmail 343 with the leak so I could have the opportunity to change the multiplayer.

Screencap it, photoshop onto it “Tom Morello”, then spread it.

> I would blackmail 343 with the leak so I could have the opportunity to change the multiplayer.

Probably end up ruining it . . . no offense man, but leave the games to the game devs.

> I would blackmail 343 with the leak so I could have the opportunity to change the multiplayer.

I dunno if this will work…
Multiplayer comes out with Halo 4. If Halo 4 is out, they don’t care anymore about their leak. Everything is out anyway.

But: It would work, if on the page are also information over Halo 5 and 6.
… then I would do same; but not for Multiplayer. I would try to influence the sp-campaign. :stuck_out_tongue:
…and try to force Halo Wars 2!!!

Ignore most of the stuff and skip down to the MP. In my mind they can do what they want to campaign and whatever else as it doesn’t interest me much. I’ll take a note of the goods and bads and then, should it be considerably terrible as in “has perks and weapon unlocks” terrible I’ll probably leak that information somewhere obscure. Should it be any good as in “not rock paper scissors game play, has balance” I go here and reverse my attitude to the game.

Probably keep it on the DL.

I still remember how angy i was when one of my dickhole friends piped on on MSN that arbiter will be playable in halo 2, back in the day >.<

A

for the intense lols.

sell it to the highest bidder.

Is there multiplayer gameplay footage and information? If yes then A. If no then I’d just leave without doing anything.

A) Secrets are like -Yoink!-: If you got 'em, might as well spread 'em around.

I would keep it for myself, but I would dispose of all the campaign information, I only want to know about the multiplayer aspect of the game ahead of release.

I’d print it off and hold it for ransom. :stuck_out_tongue:

Obviously B. I hate people spoiling stuff for me, so why would I want to do so to others? Spreading the leak across the internet would be a hugely terrible move. Not only would it be cruel to those who wish to avoid leaks, it would also be disrespectful to 343 Industries.

I also would avoid reading it as soon as I found out that it was spoilers, I want to know as little as possible about the game until I play it.

Read everything but the storyline then email 343, they might give me a reward (i can haz recon!) but I wouldent want any spoilers

option B (after finding out how the rail gun works)

Definitely B since when the leak of Halo Reach came out showing everything, it sorta ruined the awesomeness of it from the beginning, but not the story. I would have a hard time not going throughout the site myself trying to soak up as much info as possible but if i remember what it did to reach to me, then i think i could leave the site without looking at too much to actually ruin the game.
