Game type changes:
- In CTF, give players the ability to drop the flag when they want to. Maybe even make CTF play entirely the way it did in halo 3. Not being able to drop the flag can be annoying at times. And if you end up in a situation where you are holding a power-weapon and you have to pick up the flag, this would be a welcome change.
- Remove Ragnarok from 4v4-5v5 game types. I think it’s too large a map for 8-10 players.
- Add the MLG playlist as soon as possible
- In Koth, increase the amount of points each ring includes. The way your team re-spawns affects the game outcome too heavily as it is (especially on Haven). Maybe raise the score limit as well?
- Increase the goal score of Oddball. The matches are way too short.
- Replace Regicide playlist with an FFA playlist that would include Regicide, Slayer and possibly Koth and Oddball.
Weapon balancing changes:
- Decrease Boltshot’s range. It should be around 1/2 of Shotguns firing range. Boltshot is too powerful for a starting weapon as it is and a decrease of range wouldn’t make it useless.
- Add a delay between sprinting and using the Energy sword, meaning remove the possibility to instantly use sword lunge after sprinting. This would not make the sword useless, but it would lessen the “corner-camping”.
Also, Remove the Frag, Plasma and Pulse grenade commendations and add a general grenade commendation instead (dunno if this is possible, though). You’d have to be really lucky to get kills with Pulse nades since they’re so easily avoided. They work like a charm in draining an opponent’s energy shields, though.
