Personally I like the game so far but I feel that I’m less of a spartan than in prior games IMO. Smart link and Evade thrusters should have stayed in the game… I’m happy to see no more ground pound and spartan charge but the smart link and evade made fire fights so intense in halo 5 I’m very surprised it’s gone.
I loved all my halo games for different reasons from LAN parties in halo 1&2, the amazing community in halo 3, halo reaches campaign and big team battles, halo 4 was a great campaign, and halo 5 imo has the best multiplayer of the lot.
What infinite is to me is a balance from all the games combined but the problem is it’s too slow. I feel if they added the smart link and evade back we would have a more complete spartan.
Now onto map design. All of them look beautiful but some maps need to be questioned if they were meant for another game or COD. For some reason it’s not as easy as it was before to locate spawning weapon. Power weapons for the map are easily located so should the other guns.
Weapons… This has to be the best AR I’ve used in any halo game I love it! The pistol is perfect where it is great secondary not a tiny dmr like in the past 2 halos. BR is a total disappointment slow and clunky! The needler is a staple in halo, and what it is right now is straight trash. A lot of the “power weapons” need to be buffed. Should not be able to beat these players using these guns with an AR… Rockets are propelled way too slow. follow up shots on the sniper isn’t ideal. Commando is an auto dmr but I’d rather just have a semi auto dmr. Brute guns are fun but too weak. Bullfrog is not strong enough 3 shot kill for shot gun is too much.
Grenades are awesome I love all of them. And I do like all the abilities but still need evade and smart link. But it is a compromise and I will learn to replace those movements if needed.
I spent like half of all my matches yesterday in setting trying to fine tune input sensitivity and input threshold, I absolutely love all the options you can really fine tune everything. Button mapping is made super easy.
so far nothing is turning me away from the game can’t wait to see what you got in store for a warzone replacement… and seriously guys think about doing a battle royal mode it’s not going anywhere and a halo BR mode would be amazing.
