A few questions about forerunner weapons

So I have a few questions,

  1. Gameinformer says that the Incineration Cannon combines the rocket launcher, shotgun, and flamethrower. How?

  2. How strong is the Boltshot without being charged?

  3. With the Boltshot’s shotgun ability, does it make the weapon sandbox unbalanced? Is it OP?

  4. How hard is it too aim the Light Rifle? (compare to other weapons in Halo games)

  5. How hard is it too aim the Binary Rifle? (compare to other weapons in Halo games)

  6. Can the Pulse Grenade kill, or just drain shields?

uh… that sounds a bit OP?

how i’m not sure but i would imagine it shoots a single projectile that doesn’t splash backwards but forwards and on impact sprays fire forwards incinerating targets in its path. /speculation

Incineration Cannon is a one shot with a lengthy reload time so it’s not that OP.

I am definitely and most likely just gonna use Promethean Weapons for most of my Halo 4 career.

  1. Not sure how exactly it acts, here’s the only gameplay we have of it so far. It looks like a more powerful fuel rod with only one shot per clip.
  2. The boltshot is probably similar to the plasma pistol.
  3. It’s not OP, you have to be very close to them to get a one hit kill.
  4. Same as all other precision weapons, I assume
  5. Not sure, probably similar to the sniper.
  6. It can kill if you’re very close to it, but its primary use is the emp effect.

  1. The Boltshot’s overcharge can kill in one shot but only at very, very close range and the charge can not be held, so it seems very difficult to pull off. Not too sure how it will play out for balance, but my initial impression is that it will be fine.

  2. Unscoped, the Light Rifle shoots a 3 round burst with very tight spread , similar to the Halo 2 BR, but with much less aim assist/bullet magnetism. In scope it is single fire, slightly more powerful, and laser accurate. It is a 5 shot kill out of scope, and a 4 shot kill when scoped in.

  3. The Pulse Grenade creates a small sphere when it detonates, which can drain shields and EMP vehicles in it’s area of effect. After 2-3 seconds the sphere detonates, causing a large amount of damage to anyone inside. This secondary detonation is capable of killing players, but I’m not sure if the damage is enough to kill a fully shielded player. Also, the Pulse Grenade seems to have a much shorter fuse time than other grenade types.

Not sure how well worded my explanations are, so let me know if something seems unclear.
