a Few Problems

Hello, my name is Sith(not impartant). So some of the problems I have are: 1. Sgt. Johnson comes back from the dead a LOT. Yes I know this was a problem from the original game but seriously, today I was playing the mission where you first meet the flood (not sure of title) and as I evacuate with the marines I realize that Johnson is with them! 2. Map boundaries, on Timberland that boundary is high but it could be a little higher. 3. Bad mouth movement, when you first start on the POA you have that cut scene with Cortana and Captain Keys, he looks like he has a botox in his top lip. But that’s it and I still think this game is good but could have been better.

That’s because Johnson isn’t used as a particular character in Halo 1. He’s just a stock marine, like all the others, and all of his particular “canonical” appearances were defined retroactively. The only place where the name “Johnson” is even mentioned is in the credits, right next to several other non-characters.

Basically, Johnson doesn’t come back from the dead, because he’s not a particular character in the game.

In Halo CE’s story line, Johnson wasn’t a main character, he was another “red shirt” of Halo. Hell I don’t even think he even had a major part to play but the 343 mission and the legendary ending, and the only reason he came back was because people liked him. So him dieing a lot isn’t a problem, and even if it was, that’s a bug that would be rolled into the Halo CEA final build because of what 343 was shooting for, they did not want to mess with the Halo CE engine, they wanted it to stay the same, and just put a fresh coat of paint on it.

Also, he survived the original flood encounter because of the plasma radiation (or whatever it is) that he has from one of the books.

Basically flood goes om nom nom “yuck!” and dies.
