I personally feel that there’re a number of problems causing Halo 4 to become unplayable.
But first, let me just say that this game is my favourite game, when everything works as it should.
Firstly, JIP. You know what, great idea. That way a team doesn’t become unbalanced. But there’re people who sometimes do not like to jump into an on going game. Myself included. I feel there should be an option to opt out of JIP.
Secondly, spawning. I have played far too many games recently where the enemy team spawn so close to me, that I do not have time for my shield to recharge. And even if I did, there’s another popping up if I manage to kill the other. This is made even worse when there’s instant respawn.
Thirdly, CSR. If I’m not mistaken, this is suppose to be a ranking system that attempts to team you up with players that are as close to your skill level as possible. So why, in a playlist I play a lot in, and I’m a CSR 35+, am I being teamed with an SR3, and two SR4s who’s service records suggest that it’s about their second or third game. Ever. And this happens more times than I care to imagine. Which then leads me to wonder, maybe that’s why I can’t ever seem to get above a CSR 40, because I’m constantly teamed with idiots who just spawn, run into the open, die and repeat causing us to lose, in turn causing me CSR ranking to take a battering.
Fourthly, melee attacks. There seems to be an awful lot of ‘kill from the grave’ happening AFTER you’ve already smashed the but of your gun into their face. I mean, seriously. How can someone hit you after they’ve died? It’s like you’re handing the loser a kill. Just because.
Fifthly, lag. This game is the worst game I have ever played for lag. I know the majority of it is down to people’s connection, which is why you should bring in a choice (like on Reach) to be connected to people with good connection. I’ve been banned numerous time because of ‘habitual quitting’, but I refuse to play laggy games. There’s no point. I can put a sniper round through someone’s head and watch them walk off. I can watch someone disappear in front of me, and then drop dead. There’s no fun in that.
If anyone from 343i or a moderator that’s in the know, could just please get back to me regarding some of these, I’ll be happy. Just to know that you’re working on some of these problems would be great.
But I fear, like many other posts, this may just be overlooked.
