after playing this game religiously (I really love this game) and really having nothing bad to say about it (except for 3-4 complaints) I have noticed that the map flow on Complex and Longbow is broken. First of all, I like complex or shall I say I WANT to like complex, I believe it has a position in Infinity Slayer, its bordering on the too large side though but just under that border IMO. The thing that breaks complex is the Top of the map that over 90% of the teams camp. Over 90% of the games I play on complex go like this: Spawn, Mad dash for the top, Control/fight for the top, Obtain control then rain death down from above with DMR’s and/or Ordinance Dropped Power weapons. This completely screws up map flow, there is no incentive to move around the map at all in Slayer not even to grab power weapons because you can get OD’s so easily raining death down continuously with DMR’s. Easy fix? Close off the very op of the map with a kill boundary. Now to the problem with longbow in BTB all of the flow of the map is centralized around “Base A” (The top base) now I know partly of that is due to Longbow being Built for dominion BUT if that is the case then it somehow needs to be altered for BTB or removed altogether, I love the map but it needs to be re-worked “flow” wise.
all in all though, these are just my constructive criticisms of the maps, none of it was hate.

I understand what you’re saying, but I have not personally had issues with being dominated from the top of the map. With decent team coordination, the top is not that difficult to overtake. There are many areas on the map from which you can kill guys on the roof.
If you are struggling, stay out of it’s line of fire until you have a teammate who can team shoot to take guys down. Even if you are opposite sides of the map, it is possible for you both to hit the same guy, since the top is very exposed, and I wouldn’t recommend it as a camp spot at all.
If coordination is difficult to achieve due to lack of communication, that is not the map’s fault.
It’s very hard to dominate from the roof on Complex. Sure you will get a few easy kills from picking people across the map with the DMR, but as soon as the respawn they will be out for revenge. Your only choice when getting shot at on the roof is to either get in the middle, crouch, and pray they dont have a jetpack, or you can jump off.
I’ve noticed that Longbow pushes players to centralize their combat around base B. From the initial spawn, it’s a straight shot up the bridges to engage the opponents.
The paths for the vehicles has been specifically designed to bring Warthogs closer together. However, if it weren’t for spawn Plasma grenades and pistols, these intended Warthog battles would actually take place.
I’m usually on CTF when I play on Complex, so I never really have any issues with that map.
Another thing I’ve noticed is that these maps bring players closer to eachother. It’s not as open as it was in Reach or 3. It just seems more cluttered and crazier.
