I don’t know if this should be in Fiction or not, or even if this should even be here at all, but one night (after August 7), I had a dream about a map… One that was a little… odd.
So the map starts out normal, on top of a dark blue-colored square blocky pyramid with a few blocks around the edges at the narrow top. But if you descend, things get a little strange…
As you descend, you will cross a hard-coded soft kill. What makes this boundary weird is that it doesn’t extend all the way down–as you approach it’s bottom, a large white room fades in around you, and boundary markers fade in. What’s weirder is that the markers are not visible from the top of the structure, and even crazier is that you can pass back up to the top.
What a dream.

Definitely doesn’t sound like it’d be a multiplayer map for Matchmaking, but I could see somebody making one of those scenic, exploration maps out of that dream.

A talented Forger could run with that idea and come up with some great ideas for maps

At one point, I had a ton of scenic maps bookmarked that were based purely off of exploration. It’s amazing to see that people are able push that artistic vision through Forge.

Ever since Halo 3 introduced Forge, it is simply stunning as to what people can create. To this day, some of the stuff that is shared is just incredible! There are some seriously talented people out there
I think this is my dream too
