Are 343i employees distinguished by the purple fire?
I ask because there was someone in one of my games today with the purple fire but inspite of me finally getting a couple of kills on this player no thank the maker medal…
There is no purple fire in Reach. Bungie employees used to have Blue Flames aka Eternal, but it was later given to the public on Bungie day. They’re no longer available, though.
Sorry it was blue but it looked sort of purple-ish.
It looked the same as the bungie day fire hence my doubtless silly question.
I wondered if there was any thing to distinguish 343i employees now? Or was this a cheeky scamp that had some how worked out how to keep the blue/purple fire from bungie day.

The Blue Flames are yours to keep, if you got it on Bungie day. But new people can’t get them.
As far as 343, no. But there are rumors of a Green Flame. I’ve never seen it, but we never know.
