I was testing out Arbiter in a 1v1 Deathmatch against a Heroic Cutter AI, and I came across a situation that allowed me to experiment, in small scale, with a potentially dirty tactic. Use Arbiter’s stasis on an opposing army or group of units, surround them with suicide grunts, and you may have an OP tactic.
Now, whether a player is going to spend their resources on suicide grunts later in the game when Stasis is available, is another question altogether.
Stasis I am finding so far is one of the most multi-useful skills in the game. There are plenty of amazing uses for it.
Suicide grunts actually just received a tech 3 upgrade I’m pretty sure they didn’t have before. What I’ve been doing with Arby’s level 1 teleport ability is teleporting suicide grunts right on top of snipers, taking out early game anti-infantry.
That just sounds…devious.

You can use them on buildings as well. Stalling enemy buildings from producing units or generating supplies while you attack other parts of the base is such a dirty thing to do.
The best thing I’ve seen them used for was stalling an army long enough for the arbiter’s shield generators to recover while defending.
Erm… What kind of monster are you? I’m sorry, it’s so hard to tell these days.
Joking.

Really? So will dropping stasis on the center of a base stop all production there? Or keep your own base alive, if being attacked?

Yes, so let’s say you’re attacking a base and you put a stasis on their armory, you’ve now delayed production of their Condor while you continue to attack their base. Or you use it on your firebase so that it can’t be touched while attacked, but be careful as this halts all production of units and supplies.
