You all probably already know about the bug where some users can not unlock any achievements at all. I had his issue, and after several hours of play time I fixed it by editing my hosts file.
However, the achievements I had unlocked before doing this fixed are now perma-locked. To give some examples; “I’m Sorry, Dave”, “The Humble Beginnings of Wiljax Brantley”, “New Ways to Save a Buck”, “What About Bob?” are all easy to get achievements that I am unable to unlock no matter what I do.
Something similar is happening to me. Easy to unlock achievements are not unlocking no matter what I do. Have tried on xbox one x and pc and the Dj brute achievement won’t pop and the 3 skulls on legendary won’t either
Same here, the 'I`m sorry dave" achievement wont unlock for me no matter what

For the 3 skull one, you can have any of the “fun” skulls on like grunt birthday.
Having those on seems to negate some achievements for me like the 3 skulls one and no vehicle winter contingency.
Try loading up Nobal Company with JUST 3 skulls, skip the scene, and it should pop.
But I can get I’m Sorry Dave to unlock… so there are some other problems going on.

Hey guys, if anyone still has a problem with one or two try the steam version. I used it to get the 2 that wouldn’t pop for me. It pushes the achievements to Xbox so if u do it on steamit should unlock no problem
I have this problem too! I’m Sorry Dave, Worker’s Compensation and Keep It Clean achievements are broken because I unlocked them before fixing my hosts file.
Yeah I too have some easy ones that refuse to pop. “Keep it clean, your heresy will stay your feet, mind the skill gap, and because it wasnt hard enough” have done all those several times now and nothing.
Bump…Anyone found a solution for this?
I have no way of knowing if this fix still works, but it did for me and I’ve posted it all over the internet, aside from here, and it seems to help others so hopefully even with 343’s “fix” this will be the actual cure for some.
I’m still having trouble getting your heresy will stay your feet on pc, is anyone else finding it locked? is it unlocking for completing a diff achievement?
Still no way to unlock Your Heresy Will Stay Your Feet or Mind the Skill Gap on PC. Every other achievement seems to work fine, I have hundreds. But those specific 2 are simply not unlocking no matter what. Any suggestions anyone? I’ve checked integrity of files, I’ve re-installed Reach, and I’ve tried varying difficulties/skulls on/off with no results.
