A diamond on the trash.

That’s what I think about Halo 4.

Halo 4 itself is a diamond, but in a trash can. 343i needs to get the diamond out of there and clean it, so that the diamond becomes beautiful.

I know that it sounded gay, but that’s Halo 4.

I think that the community are overreacting much, going to another game just because it wasn’t chosen by some random league or because is dead, with 100K players around staying alive.

That happened on every other game: trash the new game, acclaim the old and “meh” one. Halo 5 will have the same case.

343i is addiding the things that the community wanted, a little late, but better late than never. Right?

Yesterday, I played some Custom Games and I was making my first Forge map on Halo 4, and with all the options given, felt so good. There are a few things that were deleted, but can be added later. With the TU.

Besides, the multiplayer isn’t trash at all. It just needs improvement, which will get later on February and March.

Other thing is that 343i needed to step some big BIG shoes for Bungie. And, with all the mistakes they made, they did it pretty well.

I just want to say that the community may be a bunch of hypocrites, complaining about everything when they could just go outside, don’t support the game that “they loved since the first one”.

Finally, I just want to say: Halo isn’t dead, it’s just MIA. The community and 343i needs to find it.

So, please, community. Don’t trash the game, support it, tell your friends, invite new ones, make big videos for YouTube, comment it on Twitter and Facebook, make little tournaments, go or watch Halo Tournaments right now (-Yoink!-, small MLG player ones, Arena League).

Halo needs to be back on the Gaming top. Support the game, don’t let it die.

Keep it Clean.

Nice post dude. I agree. Halo 4 could be a hell of a game, but it has so much flaws… i’ts kinda hard to say.

i see Halo CE - 3 as the diamond and Halo 4 as the trash . Halo has been lost and given a bad name cause Halo 4 is trash and swallowed up the Halo name and turned it into something most people hate

The community doesn’t want Halo to change. Halo 4 still feels like Halo to me (fans bashing me on 3,2,1…).

I find it funny that:

  • We (Halo community) criticize CoD for being the same every year and don’t evolve or be different every game.
  • We (Halo community) criticize Halo for being different every game and evolving (changing) every game.

Evolve or die. You just can’t get what you want. You can’t make everybody happy. Haters gona hate.

I love this game. I hopped over to some CoD for a game night with some friends and immediately remembered why I like Halo 10X more. For anyone that remembers Halo 2 needed a patch before it hit the sweet spot that so many of us loved. I believe Halo 4 will be the same way.

I am very excited for the next couple months with the competitive playlist, new small maps, Forge maps getting into the rotation, and of course CSR (even though its not visible in the game).

The problem with that is cod adds nothing new each game, besides new maps and guns. But halo on the other hand has changed the core game play and how halo used to play. Change is all well and good until that happens.

Yeah, has changed the gameplay, but that’s what evolving is.

The game still feels like Halo to me. I know that the main concern are the Ordnance Drops but that can be tweaked with the weekly updates that 343i made before the Infinity Challenge.

Other thing are the Random Drops, just tweak them so still feels like the other Halo games (weapons respawn every 3 minutes after pick-up and in the same spot).

Ta-da! Improving.

You are, oh so constructive. Damning this game, because you don’t like some things. This is a good Halo, far from perfect, but not trash. It’s people like you that make more people get away from Halo.

Bashing constantly, hating, and by doing so, making that potential new players and old players get out, or not even purchase the game to get their own opinions. I’t’s nice if you don’t like it, but at least don’t go around screaming that this game sucks, and by duing so, ruining it for other people. Thanks.

Evolving does not mean to change the entire core gameplay. It does not feel like a halo game to me. It feels like a generic class based shooter and halo was never that it has always been arena. Changes like what happend from ce-2 and 2-3 are what is needed. Not huge changes like custom loadouts, perks, ordnance, these change the entire focus of what halo was about.

The only shining light for me at the moment is the competitive playlist coming out. If that fails even though ive been with halo for 8 years or so im done, the changes are too drastic and affect the gameplay way to much.

You can really see this game as Halo 2 pre-patch. There’s a ton of balancing issues and gameplay issues that just need cleaning, refining, and removing.

And either way, this is still one of the best shooters of the year.

So until the TU and competitive playlist release, I’ll be playing SWAT and Grifball!

I find the Campaign was really nice, SPOPS was alright, just a lil repetitive… but I enjoyed driving the Warthog w/o worries of being plasma pistol/naded to death within seconds, fav levels have those.

Now as for MM, I doubt they plan on changing things. With all this in mind they should have had a classic playlist, re-evaluate and tested everything from AA’s to weapons. Some should have been pickups, in all honesty… is anything really OP, what would half of these things be like if limited in amounts by pickup?

^THIS^

People are forgetting how much Halo 2 sucked yoink at launch. Bugs, glitches, inconsistent guns, broken melee system, ect. It only became the great game that we now remember it to be after Bungie updated it. Although I dont think Halo 4 is as bad as Halo 2 prepatch, it does have some problems.

Through 343i’s careful tending and through community support and feedback this game can become truly amazing. But people need to stop yoinking and give constructive criticism and they need to support the game. This game is a little under 3 months old, it’s not that long, people need to chill a little and let this game grow.

Halo would be in much better shape if they only added new maps, modes, a new campaign, and graphic updates every game. That’s the whole reason CoD is killing it right now is because it doesn’t change the gameplay. Just one change can kill a series. Armor abilities proved that.
