I actually really do enjoy halo 5 infection. I was a big doubter of it before it was released, since thrust and no magnum start…but after playing it works great.
The magnum would be OP, and thrust works just perfect as a human and also a zombie.
The AR is actually very powerful in H5 infection, I usually get most of my kills using the AR over the shotgun. With its range, it is a great replacement of the magnum for halo 5.
A couple things I do think need to be changed are
#1 the round time limit
#2 why not 16 players?
#3 Ammo
#1 is by far the biggest issue. The time limit of 3 minutes…are you kidding? This is just not enough time for each round. Like halo reach, it was like 6 minutes each round if I recall. Maybe add more time to each round…with 3 rounds?
#2 Not the biggest issue, but why not 16 players? You will say the maps are too small for 16? I don’t see how adding just 4 more players to the maps would hurt anything.
#3 Honestly I don’t have a big problem with the ammo start, but I do think the shotgun should have more than just 5 shots. Maybe just put it to 10 shots?
Id like to hear some opinions and anything else that you might think needs changed with H5 infection.
Match time is fine. Everyone is converted to a infected before 3 minutes are up most of the time. It gives the survivors a better chance of winning, which they almost always lose anyways.
I’d be okay with slightly longer rounds, but it feels fine as is to me.
If they added more players I think they would have to make it 3 alphas to keep things competitive, which I would be fine with, but again, I think it’s fine right now.
I disagree, the low ammo helps force survivors to move around and makes camping a little less palpable. Plus every map has some shotty and ar ammo lying around as well as the pickups from your dead comrades.

Yeah 3 alphas would be necessary if 16 players.
Yeah like I said I really don’t have the biggest problem with the ammo. I just still feel 5 shots in the shotgun is sort of low…idk. I always pick up someone’s ammo when they die anyways.

I think Humans and Zombies should have Sprint and Clamber and thats it.

I for sure felt this way before infection came out…but playing now, it doesn’t really bother me like I expected it.
If anything to take off it would be clamber for me…I guess I like classic halo without climbing on everything.

If the times we increase then ammo would need to be increase because with 10 people being survivors the limited ammo supply on the map surviving more than the 3 minutes is hard on the limited ammo so if the rounds were longer than I’d either want more starting ammo or more ammo on the map to pickup.
If the player count was increase to 16 I’d want some bigger maps. Take some of the BTB maps and make them infection friendly. Speed Demons was a fun mode in Halo 3 and it used BTB maps and they worked pretty well.

ahhh Speed Demons! I miss some infection on big maps. That was especially fun on halo 3. Would be super nice to see something like that in infection again.

Really? I think thrust is the best addition to the H5 version. Infected have a greater chance of pulling a fast one on campers and survivors can use it to pull off some ninja like evasion.

Same here. That’s why I wish Infection had been here since the beginning because then we’d have more variants and more maps for infection.

As a human, I was able to survive a lot of situations with the addition of thrust…not the biggest fan to have zombies with it…but it works just like you said.
