A Cool Idea to Replace Clamber

So out of all the new, exciting and nail biting changes coming to Halo 5. THE ONE AND ONLY issue I see is Clamber.

I believe that Crouch Jumping is just Flat Out a much better feature than Clamber. If anything takes away from the “FEEL” of Halo I believe removing crouch jumping and not being able to shoot. Really hurts the powerful feel of playing as a Spartan SUPER Soldier! And a lot about Halo’s gameplay seems to be getting compromised by squeezing this little Clamber non sense in.

So what is the alternative, seeing as 343 has year to perfect there masterpiece. Instead of the dreadful Clamber.

Wait for it… … … What about an addition of a “mini jump” onto edges that smoothly get you where you’re going. Kinda sorta like the double jump in, dare I say; D, D, Destiny.

We already have this thruster pack thingy… just give every player a little hoppity hop for additional height when we want it… Does this seem like a cool concept?

Yes? No? Maybe so?

They’re already considering reworking the controls to make crouch jumping easier.

And the maps are designed to have Clamber points. A double jump means having to rework whole maps or scrapping and making new to make sure it flows well.

Clamber is fine. I’m a Spartan Supersoldier. I should know how to pull myself up a ledge.

Well yeah, the controls are a little screwed, and I understand why you would want crouch jumps back, but crouch jumps just aren’t superior to Clamber, sorry.

Crouch jumps are MUCH superior to Clamber in that they take skill and accuracy, not rewarding a missed jump. Sure you CAN miss a jump with Clamber, but it is much easier to use, taking away some of the skill gap. Also as the writer had mentioned, you cannot shoot while Clambering, and that also changes the flow of the game.
